My first day the sink bath and toilet where clogged. Second day the water ran brown. Managers answer was “we use well water it is OK.”

very outdated hotel. room smelled bad. jacuzzi was broke and did't look like they were fixing. pool was ok. kids like making waffles for breakfast. very glad only there for 1 night...was close to casino

I was just there July 30-Aug 2. And I will never go back. The bar closes at 10.00. They have no picnic benches near the pool. They kick u out of the pool @10. There is nothing to do there. It is so far from the park and beach. The only good thing about this place is the food. That is when the place is open. They have young kids runiing this place and they are not doing a good job. The spa had a scum ring around it. Disgusting! The poll was the only thing that was clean. They only have vending machines and ice machines on the first floor. And I was with and elderly person.It was hard to get around. It is like a hostipal very confusing to get around. JUST DON"T GO THERE UNLESS IT IS FREE!!!!!!!

Cheaper by $20 then most hotels in the area, we found the staff friendly, the breakfast adequate and the rooms clean. If you want a nice place to flop and watch TV, and get a night’s sleep after a day of shopping this is the place.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times because its very close to the college that my daughter attends. Never again! The first 3 times we stayed, the experience was never wonderful but this last time was the topper. We had to switch rooms because our toilet didn't flush, the sheets and pillow cases were dirty, the floor was dirty, there were kids running up and down the hallways all hours of the night, the breakfast attendant was toucing the food without gloves on, the woman at the front desk made a comment about the weight of the woman in line before me, which I thought was very cruel and unprofessional, check out was a disaster because 5 of the 7 people in front of me had complaints and the rate I was quoted on the phone was $20 lower than the rate I was charged. The blond waitress, who actually made our first 3 experiences there somewhat enjoyable, doesn't work there anymore so we really see no reason to come back. I should have listened to my husband and spent the extra $30 (actually $10 because they overcharged me)to stay at the Marriott.

We have used this motel in past years and it was fine. This year we booked a two night stay and paid in advance since we liked the motel. Maybe they have changed management, but we were very unhappy. The first night we had to change rooms twice due to faulty heaters. It is not fun to change rooms at midnight. The breakfast bar did not have an attendant this year. There was not non-stick spray for the waffle machine so they stuck and there was only decaf coffee. The next morning there was no coffee left at 8 until someone went to the main desk and he brought down another container. We could not get any of our money back due to poor quality. Therefore, we will never stay there again. My husband has relatives in Erie, so we will definately stay at another motel in the future.

it was clean and service was good but don't try to use the hot tub in the weight room the water that came out of the tap was cloudy even after you ran it

This place was a dump! Cobwebs in the corners, lights flickering constantly. Dirty carpets. The icing on the cake were the yellow stains on the sheets when we flipped our covers over. Utterly disgusting, the service was pathetic. Just plain filthy.

I would not recommend the Travelodge to anyone traveling with children. There were obviously major problems with the electrical wiring in the building. Outlets with no covers, wires exposed, an accident waiting to happen! The fire marshall should investigate. Also, the room down the hall from us had a party going on with the clear, strong smell of marijuana coming from under the door. When the front desk was notified, they were apparently used to calls like this as they expressed no shock or remorse that this was happening. The continental breakfast was set up in a room that looked like the storage space for the hotel, there were tables and chairs piled up everywhere. You felt like you were eating in someone's garage. Also, the food was not the quality you would expect from a nationally known chain. Check in and check out was complicated by long lines and disinterested staff members. The people in front of us were having a problem with their "guaranteed rate" which turned out not to be guaranteed at all. The staff was less than helpful in granting our request to check in early, around noon. It is not worth the money you would save to stay here. Spend the extra cash and check into a place that treats their guests like guests.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone! Stayed here a week ago for a local family reunion and many other family members stayed here also. All were extremely disappointed. Had a non smoking room that smelled like smoke the whole time. Also the lobby and the restaurant were always polluted with smoke. In addition, most of the morning the maids are smoking in the lounge right off the lobby and then they spend half the morning sitting around in the lobby, stinking up the whole place! If you are a non smoker, have allergies or have respiratory problems this is definitely not the place for you. There were bugs in the bathroom. We have two young children and there was an outlet in the room that was hanging out of the wall (extrememly dangerous)! The bathroom just grossed us out, didn't even want to use it. The beds were the most uncomfortable bed I've ever been in and there were no fitted sheets so most mornings you woke up on the mattress, GROSS! We always pack our own, however, the pillows were yellow along with the sheets. The maid service didn't come till late afternoon to clean and then towels would be brought to you in the evening if you even got them. Most of the time we were hunting down maids for things that we needed. The woman at front desk was rude and not helpful most of the time. Didn't have any interest in addressing any of our problems or concerns. The complimentary breakfast was a joke, stale bagels and juice out of a soda machine. We had planned to stay here for 4 nights (we live 4 1/2 hrs away) and we cut our vacation short one night because we just couldn't take the hotel any longer. We even looked into other hotels in the area, but were very very expensive for last minute booking. Unfortunately we were stuck at the Travelodge. I ,personally, came home with a headache I had had for 4 days from the smell of the hotel and a horribly stiff neck and back from the bed. I will never stay at another Travelodge again, no matter how nice it is, as long as they have their name associated with this hotel! It was so bad we are contacting the Erie health department and fire department! They are definitely violating some codes! We also took pictures to document as many of the problems that we could. Don't care how cheap the price I wouldn't recommend staying here at all! Oh and don't believe their sign that says newly renovated, there is a ladder in the lobby and landscaping all around the outside that is dug up, other than that the place is still disgusting! Nothing is new or even in progress! They would be better off leveling the place and starting from scratch!
