Over priced hotel
By ,
We stayed here for one night and were completely disappointed. The hotel smelled like old shoes and cigarettes. The air conditioner in our room was so loud that it kept me up, but I am thankful it worked. The bed was not very comfortable, the elevators were sketchy, and for $230 for one night I expected a lot more, especially being apart of the Starwood hotel chains.

Fabulous Hotel, Great Service!
By ,
My entire family chose Hershey Park for our family reunion this year. We selected this Hotel for our stay. I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel, and the staff. The rooms were quiet, beautiful and the beds were heavenly. The hotel offers a 24 hr in-house convenient store if you need a midnight snack or toiletries. I noticed that the hallways are not well air-conditioned, but this wound up being a blessing on our way back from the indoor pool. The expansive pool has an indoor and outdoor version, separated by a beautiful glass wall. In addition, the in-house restaurant is fantastic and reasonably priced. The food was so good, we ate their every night. They offer a breakfast buffet, which is not included in the cost of the room. However, because we purchased a Hershey Park package through the hotel, we were given free passes to the breakfast buffet every morning. And it was far more than muffins and cereal. They had everything from made-to-order omelettes to fresh fruit. The staff of both the hotel and the restaurant should be commended. On more than one occasion, management checked on us to ensure we were having a good stay. The day we left, I noticed a large group of young athletes 'taking over', so I'd check with the hotel to see if there are any scheduled conferences during your stay. Overall, it was pricey. But we happily got what we paid for.

Convenient to interstate
By ,
This hotel is very easy to find as it is just off exit 2 of I-283 in Harrisburg. It has a beautiful indoor/outdoor pool and has many meeting rooms and a large restaurant. I found it to meet my standard view of what a large hotel offers. Nothing distinctive yet nothing below standards either.

Pretty Nice Hotel...
By ,
My friends and I stayed here in April of this year for a youth convention. Previously we had stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, and we wanted to try a different hotel this year. Because we booked it through the youth convention people, we got a big discount (only about $60 a night). Our room wasn't bad, but we had requested two beds (there were three people). Instead of giving us a room with two beds, they gave us a room with one bed, and a fold-out couch that they turned into a bed. Thankfully, I didn't have to sleep on it. The cable was okay, and we were intending on watching DVD's and playing our PS2, but there wasn't a hook-up for the PS2 on the TV, so we were stuck watching what was on the TV. The pool and sauna was the best part. The pool is beautiful. It is big, and connects to the out-door pool. There is also a hot tub right next to the pool that my friends and I used frequently. We only used the sauna once before it unfortunantly broke. For some reason it was never fixed before we left. Apparently this hotel is popular with other youth groups in the area. There were so many people on each floor, and each floor it seemed to be quite chaotic with groups handing out keys and standing in the hallway and stuff like that. The staff was great. Our room didn't have a remote for the TV, so we called down to the desk and they had a worker up to our room with a remote in about two minutes. There was a safe in the room, and a bottle of natural springs water. Unfortunantly, we didn't realize that if we opened the water, an additional $3.00 would be added to our bill - it was added. The rooms overlook the outdoor pool and a beautiful garden setting. The hotel is big, and there is an Eat N' Park, and a Waffle House right across the road. This hotel is a great hotel, with only minor problems.

Hotel really was bad
By ,
The restaurant food was cold and undercooked, and the service was horrible. People at this hotel didn't seem to care about the guests. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. The holiday inn across the street would be a better pick.

Internet Ripoff
By ,
The room was OK, but being an IT Director at a school, Internet access it probably the most important part of a hotel! This was one of the worst hotels I have been in recently. Vendors have to pay $150 a day for internet access everywhere but the room (where it is $10 a day)! Businesses or business people who use the internet (who doesn't?) should avoid this hotel. They use a network called STSN. I also got a signal for "WayPort" on my laptop. I guess that was the service in the meeting rooms. I would avoid any hotel which uses either STSN or WayPort or any other internet service which rips off people.
