Downtown Erie Hotel, Erie

I would not recommend staying here. The room was dirty, the wall paper was falling off, the bathroom was not cleaned because there was hair on the walls and the mattresses and blankets were stained.

I recently stayed there for the weekend and three days after checking out I checked my account online to find out that they charged me an additional $100. I did nothing to the room to warrant such a charge and the manager refuses to refund me the money he charged. STAY AWAY!

We spent week end in Erie and stayed at the downtown erie hotel. Good service, staff was very helpful. We will go back again!!

Unfortunately, the pictures you see are a long way from the truth. You've heard the saying, "You get what you pay for"? Well, you don't get anything close to what you pay for. I went with a group and we had 6 rooms. One room the a/c broke. Another room had dead flies on the floor. None of the rooms had exhaust fans in the bathrooms. Every room had this smell that you couldn't describe. Nor would you want to. The shower head in the shower was nasty. The pool had a film across the top of the water. If Jesus walked across the water, it was at this pool. The bar was incredibly hot. No a/c and a fan in the doorway. There was no toilet paper in the bathrooms for 3 days. The remote for the tv didn't work. Spend a few extra bucks and go to the Hampton or any other hotel near I-90.

Let's start: The place is very dirty. No toliet paper for 3 days (even after requested for 3 days) No A/C in the lounge area We rented 6 rooms there--all rooms smelt like sewer gas, especially after someone flushed the toilet. Did I mention it was extremely dirty? Pool--unable to swim in it, nor did we want to. The water was extremely dirty and cloudy. Weight-room, don't even bother the hotel is located in the middle of the slums. Everything is boarded up around it, with the exception of Adult stores and Escort services. A great family trip for all

The only good thing was the location, We stayed in the winter and the heat barely worked. The price is resonable.Would not reccommend this to a friend.

The heat barely worked, the cable turned off half-way through the night, and worst of all the bathroom was full of MOLD and MILDEW! I've stayed at a lot of hotel rooms in many countries and this rates as among the worst. Shame on AAA for accrediting this dump!

We booked a hotel at the last minute and this was one of the few places available on the nights we selected. The staff was courteous, room and bath were clean and the continental breakfast was decent. Those are the nicest things I can say. The air-conditioning unit blew cold air right at the bed. There was no escaping it. We finally propped the ironing board against the unit to deflect the frigid breeze. The pillows were flat. When we called the front desk and asked for a couple extras, we were told there were no more. The mattress has seen better days. The fan was turned off in the only elevator to serve about 100+ rooms and it was noticeably stuffy. There was no ice machine on our floor. As noted by another customer, The Red Tomato Restuarant was not in business. We were disappointed with the whole experience. Linda - Pittsburgh, PA

When our BRIDAL PARTY showed up to the room there were not even blankets on the bed. After calling to the front desk they brought them up and did not even make the bed for us. The value is good if you are looking for an uncleanly place to crash for the night, otherwise it was not worth paying them any money.

We have stayed here many times over several years. The hotel is convenient and comforable. The rooms are clean. We enjoyed the Saturday entertainment pool side.
