Well! were do i begin? ok here goes. The first problem we incountered was that they lost our reservation , they did have rooms available so i guess that wasn't so bad. the next problem was the TV, they have beautiful flat panels but no remotes, my wife called the front desk to ask if they would send up a remote, which we received three hours later. so why waiting for the remote we decided to hook up the kids xbox, did i mention that we have stayed here in the past and have been able to use the xbox every time we stayed. Really that is the main reason why we stay here. Well now the problems got even worse. we couldn't connect to the internet with either the xbox or my laptop, so i called the front desk they gave me the number of the support company, when i called the 800# they said that they no longer provided support to this hotel. after asking the front desk for the correct number and them not being able to provide it, i asked for the manager he was not at the hotel and they told me that they could not bother him. In the past the internet company was very helpful i don,t know what is going on now but we were never able to get connected with my laptop or my sons xbox. very dissapointing.

Very bad management!

We were there for a high-school reunion and chose this hotel for a cultural program and also negotiated a special rate for the attendees staying in Exton overnight. Upon our arrival they told us that they are overbooked and wanted to place us in a hotel 30 mins away from the current one. They gave us rooms later but our programs had to cut short for the delay they caused. Many guests cancelled their bookings. And, they laid rollaway beds in the offered rooms which caused much discomfort to all the guests. We had our phone numbers with them and the least they could do is to call us ahead to say that they are overbooked. The staff at the front desk was rude and before even explaining the situation, he shouted at us saying "I will not accept any rude behavior". It is unfortunate what we had to endure in that Inn that day which was supposed to be a fun filled time. Chester Springs Inn ruined our summer vacation.

LOVELY would return

Staff are attentive, rooms redone, clean and friendly. DOn't know what the reviewers were talking about. Would go back if I were travelling through the area again. Much nicer than Mariott's etc.

Horrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/09
This is by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed at. I was staying at the hotel to attend a wedding that took place near by and the service and how they treated the people we were visiting made me sick. I feel so bad for them and also was not satisfied myself. There are plenty of other hotels in the area.

Sleaze factor
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/25/09
I caouldn't put my finger on it, but there was an overall "sleaze factor". We had to go to Pa. for a family event in Eagle, Pa. and this hotel was close by. The hotel seemed dingy although it had been newly decorated. The staff seemed uninterested and uninformed. We reported the upholstery on a chair in our room was damaged as soon as we checked into the room in hopes that they would replace it and to be sure thay did not blame us. The chair was never replaced and probably is still in that room. I don't know what group was staying there but they mostly seemed obnoxious and "sleazy" (I hate to judge) We were glad we did not have children with us. If we have another trip to the area we will be much more careful about our hotel choice.

Not bad. Has potential to be really nice.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/03/08
We liked the location, very convienent to restaurants, gas stations etc., and our relatives. Hotel staff were very nice and solved some minor room issues at check in quickly and professionally. Newly renovated rooms though on the small side had a pleasant modern decor, however some workmanship and materials felt shoddy and cheap. The newly renovated lobby was lovely. Excerise room was small but clean and some equipment appeared new. The indoor pool area needs an overhaul. There is no hot tub. The breakfast buffet was a good value. Food quality fit the price and it satisfied our needs. We will try this hotel again as renovations are ongoing and overall we would recommend this hotel for short stays at a good value.

Not sure what everyone is talking about?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/08
Hey all, I am from the exton area and had a friend who had a party at the Chester Springs inn. I was just curious as to where everyone is getting the ideas that its in the middle of no where. This inn is located no less the 5 mins from the Exton Square Mall and the newly established Main Street at exton which offers a great selection of places to eat including Buca De Bepo, Peacea Pizza, Appitites on Main. It also features many places to shop other then the mall. There are Kohl's, chinese foods, Pep boys, camera shops, shoe stores, TJ max, Fast food places include, Kentucky Fried Chicken/Taco Bell, McDonalds, Wendys, Chic-Fil-a, Dairy Queen ect. There is a suit shop, sports athourity, movie rentals places, hundreds of stores in your 2 level HUGE MALL, Toys R' Us. Skateparks, parks, state parks. SO i spent all this time writing this up because there were so many negative comments about exton and how it was in the middle of no where but this is obviously not the case considering I just named probably a hundred places to spend your day. IGNORE ALL NEGATIVE COMMENTS EXTON IS A GREAT PLACE TO BE

going down hill......... to terrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/08
I've been to the Inn at Chester Springs a few times now and it has gone from bad to worse. The first time I went was for an Easter brunch. The plates had old food on it and the utensils were dirty. I was embarrassed to have even taken my family to this place. Another time I went for a company meeting and I stepped out to go to the restroom. I overheard, what I assume was a manager, talking down to an employee. Unfortunately my company does have meetings at this hotel and I have to go back. I am going to see about having them change.

Never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/09/08
I found myself in PA but could not make it all the way to Harrisburg, so I got off the Tpke saw a sign and went in. Too bad I did not heed my first impression which was GET OUT. The front desk person was amicable but uninformative. I stayed one night. The room was OK, but small, the bed was terrible. The restaurant was some sort of Steak House, which was ridiculously overpriced. The dingy lounge stunk of rotting cigarettes, not much appeal there. They should tear this place down and rebuild from scratch.
