Convenient + Great Price!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/13/08
This hotel is right between the 2 big outlets and next door to Dutch Wonderland. We walked from the hotel to Dutch Wonderland and did not need to deal with strapping the kids in and out of their car seats. Lots for the kids to do too. They loved the playground, game room, and indoor pool. Breakfast buffet was amazing as well. I read some of the other complaints - some people will never be happy. This is not a 5 star resort - it does not claim to be and does not cost $500 a night. You want the best, go pay the 5 star resort prices! We enjoyed everything and had a wonderful stay.

Very Run Down Hotel !!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/12/08
We stayed at this hotel because it was right across from our convention at the Host. This place was very run down and will never stay again. We plan to return to Lancaster in the Spring but will never stay at this hotel. The room was old and the bathroom was very dirty. There was bugs in the room and when we complainted the desk clerk was very rude. Obviously the management does not care about their guest's comfort. There are plenty of other hotels and we will be staying at something better than this run down place !!!!!

cold indoor pool
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/07
We have stayed at this hotel several times in the last 7 years, and have had nothing to complain about. This year the pool was too cold to swim in, and it was a major disappointment for us. We like to go out and shop, come back to the hotel go for a swim, and a hot tub, relax, and go out for dinner. This year, despite repeated requests, the temperature of the pool was too cold. Not sure if it's new management, or a cost saving device, but we will think long and hard when booking our next trip.

Very nice stay, the staff is very helpful. We have held an annual workshop here every November since 1996. I would not dream of using another hotel in the area.

Probably won't return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/06
We stayed here on the advice of a friend. When we arrived there was not a complete coffee service and they didn't provide hair dryers. I did request one and after a very long time I got one. I used the small refrig to store some produce from the Amish country and it froze in the refrig. Be careful if you use it. The sheets were just thrown on the bed and weren't tucked in and when you moved much the bare mattress was in sight. The room was good sized but there was a large empty space where a comfy chair could have set. On the plus side the price of our stay included a very nice buffet breakfast with omelettes made to order - good coffee, etc.

What a dump!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/31/06
Filthy, smelly, nasty! The room we got looked like a reject from a flop-house. Ancient looking and smelled of mold and mildew. There was so much grime in the AC vents that a plume of dirt billowed out when we turned it on. The beds were falling apart and the two chairs were so dirty we were afraid to sit on them. We were there for a few minutes, couldn't take it and asked to cancel our nights. Luckily they did not give us a hard time about this (they must be used to it). The only saving grace this place has is that it is right next to Dutch Wonderland. Looks like there are two pools as well, but we didn't stick around long enough to find out. We went to the Red Roof Inn afterwards (right next to this one), much nicer and very clean (cheaper too).

Roaches and Bad Manners:
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/29/06
Roaches and Bad Manners: Having three little ones, Dutch Wonderland is an annual must for us. Unfortunately, this year our stay at Continental Inn was less than favorable. Let’s start with the funny rates that via the internet are one thing but when you get there they try to take advantage of you. Followed by three dead roaches in the room…and to finish my humble comments… a VERY NASTY hostess at the Le Fleur restaurant that got mad at us because we used our two free adult breakfast and were not ordering food for the little ones (they have had their cherrios and pop tarts in the room, plus they are 5, 2 and 1). We asked for two high chairs.. she responded “high chairs are for those that are paying!” excuse me, come again please… “I said high chairs are for those that are paying and eating.” How can I eat with a 1 year old seating in a regular chair.. plus all we wanted was a coffee and a bagel… we were not begging for food… we were not sneaking food out.. we were exercising our right to two free breakfasts… I went to the hotel registration and requested to see the manager.. it turns out the wicked witch of the west was the manager… This was a very disappointing hotel stay. Stay away from the roaches (including the manager)!

We'll be back in two weeks
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/17/06
I find that my child has a great time in the pool. It's cozy and breakfast is good. The rooms can use a little updating, but comfortable and clean. I find their rates reasonable and enjoy the whirlpool for a little R&R after a long day of traveling and shopping in and around the area.

NEVER AGAIN!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/8/05
I've never been so disgusted in my life. First thought of the room, We walked in to find holes in the walls all around them & hair on one of the pillows (it didn't look like normal hair). Later that night, I went to use the bathroom only to find 5 bugs in the bath. The Bathroom looked like it was from world war two. The bedding had holes in it, and dirty. The room was just disgusting. After complaining we changed rooms. The next room was okay, until the same problem's happened, only difference was that this room didn't had the holes in the walls. The next morning I woke up to fly wings in my bed, and to top it off, we ended up getting locked in the room. We had to call the service desk to let us out of the room. We ended up checking out asap & went to a much better hotel. This place needs renovation, badly. It was the most horrid hotel I've ever stayed in. To top it off, another guest allowed her child to go swimming in the pool without anything on. The day we checked out, I noticed the Fridge was turned off. My handicapped brothers medicine was ruined because the maid (if that's what you call them), un plugged it. All they offered us was a big 15.00 off the fee of 100.00 a night. Trust me this is a Roach Coach beyond words it should be condemned!

Great weekend!
By Mary, 5/19/05
It is in the thick of things, rooms were done over since our last trip, very clean with lovely furnishings. The complimentary breakfasts were delicious. Rooms were overlooking the countryside, very relaxing. Indoor pool is wonderful after a busy day.
