Shilo Inn is a full-service hotel adjacent to Ozborn Plaza, near Lancaster Mall. Guests can take a swim in the large indoor pool (open year-round). The fitness center includes a stationary bike and universal weight-training machine. There is also a steam room, sauna and hot tub at the hotel.Every morning, guests of the Shilo Inn can enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast. Additionally, complimentary fresh fruit, popcorn, and coffee in the lobby. Business services include 24-hour fax and photocopy, audio/visual equipment arrangement, catering, and event planning. This review is regarding a recent stay with my dog:Angel. The staff was very friendly and couldn't wait to exchange pet stories. I asked if they had anything for travelers with pets(dog in particular) and although it took a little "diggn", the staff came up with a small, Shilo bag container with a clip and even a clean dog bed(nice touch)!. There was a short noise issue with the up-stairs children jumping up an down, but once again the staff took care to the matter is a polite, professional, satisfactory manner. Angel and I look forward to stays at other Shilo hotels, especailly the ones with year-round pools; it's a great place for children to burn off excess energy..., Mr. Kelly Parker & Angel
 
 
 
 
 
Consistently Good

Ample parking, convenient location to I-5 and the rest of Salem. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are always clean. The furniture is starting to wear out, but the bed was comfortable. Nice having two tv's in one room, and rooms are indeed very spacious. We always appreciate the fact that Shilo inns allow dogs (for a fee) and there are several different ways to get into the building with a room key. Close to several good restaurants and shopping. Will stay again! Internet connection was a bit spotty but we made do.

It's OK, but you can do better

Bed was more comfortable than average. Free breakfast was minimal compared to most I've seen. There's no actual dining room, just a very small area at the back of the lobby near the elevator. Free wireless internet service was spotty most of the time and required patience. The second TV in "suite" had no cable box and only a portion of the channels available on the TV in the bed area. Staff performed well considering that the place was full of high school wrestlers for four days. I was impressed by the roaming security presence, especially at night.
