Red Lion Medford, Medford

Great rooms for the price. Rooms were very clean and overall the service was excellent. The food tasted homemade but that service could have been better. We used Priceline and got two rooms for the price of one. Great value..

I agree! DON'T STAY HERE. I stayed on 4/21/11. Front desk girl, Crystal, acts like she thinks she is Lady Gaga, just filling in for the night, and has no time for YOU. Then, I was shocked at the out side of the lodging. It's supposed to be a Hotel, $90.00, for what! It looks very run down. And only out door entry. I felt like I was at Super 8. So when I went to the door to put my key in the door was not latched! Being female, I got scared and called the front desk to have security check the room. Security came right over and was very polite. Then when I looked around the room I noticed the sliding door's security bolt wasn't going through the door. A credit card could easily open the door! Also, on the front door the dead bolt was broken! Besides this, the door knob was bent. Obviously the room had been broke in repeatedly. I called the front desk again, told Crystle the room was unexceptable, and they sent security to get me in another room. I told the security man that it seemed like the room had been repeatedly broken into and whom ever had rigged the place well for easy access. He replied,"Ya, it does happen some that we find the transients have stayed over." Otherwise, the room was nice on the inside, and the mattress was very nice and new.

I come here 2x per year for a seminar that is held in the hotel - in October I reserved the same room (which many participants do) for the following April; upon check-in CRYSTAL, the absolute rudest front desk clerk I've ever encountered, refused to honor my room request. She seemed very happy to tell me that the only room available was a room by the trash and laundry - a room that hasn't been used in ages. Dusty, the door is broken and I literally got locked in, there were no hangers in the closets. The room I could forgive, but the rudeness of this Crystal, especially compared to the other employees such as Chelsea was just unbearable, my friend who checked in with me couldn't believe the way I was treated. I've been having some severe health problems and have lost a lot of weight - we thought that maybe because Crystal is fat, she decided to be cruel to me because I've become so skinny. Anyone who enjoys being cruel should not be employed in a customer service position. Crystal should be required to seek help or be fired. I will never stay at a red lion hotel again under any circumstance after being treated with such cruelty.

This 'Hotel' balances on the 'hotel'/'motel' fence. It has rooms where the doors are not interior, but exterior, facing the parking lot. This is odd, as a hotel, especially when other Red Lion's have interior rooms. As I walked in, I felt claustrophobic. It was literally the smallest room I have ever had. Too much furniture in the small room. The bathroom is huge however. Very nice compared to the cramped room. I used priceline, so I can only be thankful I didn't pay full price for this room. It was clean, and I heard no noise from other rooms. However our room, facing a creek and bridge was also under the Interstate 5. Big rigs were the most bothersome while needing quiet. Also, the heater in the room was quiet loud and annoying. In the morning when I went to make coffee, there was only 1 package of decaf. I don't drink coffee for the taste, I drink it for the caffeine. Needless to say, rough way to start my morning! lol I would recommend this hotel to single, business travelers. Not suitable for fun, or families. My 8 year old daughter and I shared the small room, small towels, and it was a little disappointing. I usually am disappointed though, when I see Red Lion Medford accepts my bid :( Other Red Lions are very satisfactory to me, in comparison to this one.

Just me and two suitcases and I had a hard time moving around. The View was nice, not spectacular but pleasent. The free breakfast was great, the waffles were awesome. Staff was courteous, but didn't know much about the area. They tried to give me directions to a diner, got in an argument about who was right and then ended up giving me directions that only led to a supermarket. Oh well.

But the motel is nice and easy to find. I got a great deal on Price line...
