I only gave this ONE star because ZERO stars is not an option...I've never reviewed a hotel before but want to warn others. They messed up our reservation, and wouldn't honor the email I had signed by the MANAGER. The Front Desk help was mostly nonexistent but unhelpful when they were there (they actually have a handwritten sign that says "Back in 20 minutes"--where do they go?) Dirty, dingy, no coffee or food to be found, disgusting little restaurant next door...this place really should be closed. It's TERRIBLE. I will never stay at another Red Lion as a result. AC in the room didn't work, nobody would answer the phone at the front desk/guest services to schedule a wake up call. The list goes on...

What a dump. The ice machine had mold and water stains on the outside of the machine. I can't imagine what the inside of the machine looked like. The door located next to the bar leading into the hotel had obviously been broken into numerous times. To gain entrance all you had to do was push on the door and it would open. We rented 2 rooms the second room the door could be pushed open even after you closed the door. The only thing keeping the door closed was the chain lock. The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude and unhelpful. There was a dirty towel with makeup stains hanging folded on the towel rack next to the clean towels. After spending the night in the hotel everyone wokeup with runny noses and sore throats we can only assume it was mold because of the water stains on the ceiling in our room and numerous other water stains located in the hallways. We have stayed at other Red Lions and when we booked the room we assumed that we were getting the same quality hotel that you would expect from the Red Lion chain but not here.

The day after I wrote my first review, I placed a call. The accountant is never in, so I left a voice message. A week later,someone called from that office called. She told me we stayed for 2 nights, I told her it was only 1. Shetold me she would have to talk to her supervisor, and would call me later in the week. I have left 2 voice messages with"accounting", but no one has returned my calls. My next move is the BBB, or corporate headquarters.

First of all the picture makes it look alot nicer than it actually is. It says that there is a pool yes there is but it is not heated and outside. If you want a remodeled room you have to go upstairs which is hard if you have a small child or are elderly. There is something about room service but all I came up with was a restraunt across the parking lot and a small selection of breakfast items that you could get for breakfast only. Overall I think that it wasn't what I thought I was getting for the money.

We were on our way to the Oregon coast. We needed a place to stay for one night. After driving through the traffic in Portland, we called around, and could not find a room. Red Lion was our only choice. There was a line at check in, but got our room. The gal at the front desk was very helpful. At the desk were were pleased with the rate of $79.00 for the night. When I received my credit card statement, however, I was charged $204.00 for the room. I tried calling, and the phone is not working tonight. Hopefully this will be resolved.

I loved everthing! I only live a mile away. I am a baby boomer, trying to care for a father I did not grow up with. The Red Lion has a wonderful smokers room, complete with microwave, and small refrig...I can go there for the day..read, take a bubble bath and sleep...it is the best. The whole staff is very helpful..oh, and on request I got extra coffee..

Won't stay there again. Place is old and not very well maintained. Low price was the only plus. There is no comp breakfast. Free internet worked most of the time.

This place accused us of smoking in a non-smoking room and charged us $100 cleaning fee to clean this room. WE ARE NON-SMOKERS!!!! They locked-us out of our room at 10:30 at night, and then would only let us back in after we let them charge us. When asked to see a manager, there was no manager available at 10:30PM on a Friday night!!! We left the next morning, and asked to speak to a manager then. Apperantly there is no manager available during the weekends. When asked to talk to the front desk person's boss, they could not be reached either. We will never stay in a Red Lion, or any of it's affliates ever again!
