Great staff and very interesting location

I read the comment about the pack and play and was very surprised. That's not the staff experience I've had during my visits. This hotel is spread out, if I had to guess, at least 4 or 5 acres of land with multiple buildings. Last year my husband and I stayed at this hotel while my mother was in the hospital. We were there for over 3 weeks and have nothing but good things to say about the experience. I'm not trying to be harsh or rude or anything like that, but it might be wise to call ahead to make sure the pack and play is in your room or scheduled for you before you arrive. The thing about calling the front desk at night, at any hotel really, is that you're probably getting a hold of the one and only person working at the hotel. So you have to consider if they leave the front desk to track down something for you, they're also leaving guests who want to check-in, phone calls, etc. I'm not defending the clerk's attitude, just saying that right after you call may be a phone call about a fire emergency or toilet overflowing, but instead of being able to respond to those they're searching for a pack and play for you. Always best to call ahead, preferably in the morning, if something is that important to you. Sorry for my soapbox speech, just think this property got a very unfair review. Back to my interesting location remark. This hotel isn't near anything within walking distance, which makes it quiet and quite nice. I reserved a suite with a fireplace with my Marriott rewards points for my sister and her husband for Valentine's Day this year. They absolutely loved it! There isn't another hotel in Norman that offers a real wood burning fireplace. They also used the kitchen to cook up a feast (so they said:) Overall great staff and awesome amenities. Would definitely recommend for families traveling with children because of the kitchen and extra room.
