Will not be back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/16/11
My husband and I were to stay one night and were paying cash and they still wanted a $50 deposit. The whole place had an odor that I can't describe. It was even in the hallways. Our room was VERY OUTDATED! It too had an odor. Everything in the room was painted over so you could not see the damage done to the room. No flat screen and the coffee makeer was dirty and there were cigarette burns on the bathroom counter. The sheets were very dingy and didn't even match. I was afraid to sit on the bed. We went and found a Comfort Inn up the interstate and moved our things into there. We went back to the Biltmore the next morning to return our keys and got our $50 back. I would rather sleep in my car!

I liked the breakfast buffet. Great service and the best looking waitress I have seen in my life.

We will NEVER stay here again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/6/10
First off the hotel smells bad, the carpet was very sticky and dirty, stains every where. The heater in our room only blew out freezing cold air! Housekeeping went thru our bags while we were at a wrestling tournament! Front desk told us we were the 4th room to complain about that! We blocked about 30 rooms for team, couldn't find a different hotel for that many families!

Pleasantly suprised
So I read alot of negative reviews about the Hotel before hand but I decided to try it out with my girl friend during early August. First off I did express in my reservations that I had read some negative reviews and was hoping that they weren't true. I honestly think this helped the service. The Bad: -Our room wasn't ready when they said it was and had dirty pillows in it but they fixed this immediately. -Our room was right next to a Banquet Room that had a family reunion going until about 11:00 P.M. -Overall the place seemed old but not unkempt. The Good: -The food at the Brandy Wine (The hotel restaurant) was delicious. It tasted like real southern cooking. We ate at the breakfast buffet and we had lunch twice and dinner once. Very friendly staff and very good food. i can personally say that they have a very good salad bar and amazing country fried steak. Also the appetizers are huge portions. -The staff was very courteous. The restaurant manager offered us free desert for no apparent reason. The lady at the front desk called us once we got to the room to verify that things were OK. Southern hospitality was everywhere. -Pleasant decor. Although it did seem very old it had more of an antique feel rather than a run-down feel. -Has separate pools, one of the pools was full but the other one we went to had no one in it for the entire hour we were there. Overall a positive experience and I am glad we chose this place.

Would not be my first choice...
By AbelL, 3/5/09
To start I point out the good things... The staff is friendly. Not too knowledgeable about the area (maybe too young to know?) but they know their specific job and do it well. The restaurant (Brandywine Room and Casa Cafe) is decent. Affordable. The fact that you can bill to your hotel room is convenient. The staff there also is very good. The rooms themselves are plain. Yes, there are water stains around. The non-smoking floor smells like it once was a smoking floor the week before. The beds are definitely not sealy posturepedic. They are what I would expect in a smaller $25 a night place. The wireless internet is abismal. My iPhone's EDGE connection is faster. There are two WiFi networks available. And depending on the time of day, one works better than the other. The hot tub was luke warm. The sauna had cracks in the door patched up with gum and packing tape (clear not duct). The indoor pool was conveniently located in front of the big glass wall of the Bombay Room Bar. A pleasant view for the patrons I'm sure. It has the feeling of a truck stop trying to be "Fancy". For being the "largest hotel in Oklahoma" they are not the best. One would think they'd spend a little on upgrading to match the "Biltmore" name. I would not make the Biltmore my first choice if I came back to Oklahoma. I actually stayed because the group we were here for required staying here. I did call to stay somewhere else and they were all booked. I'm not sure if the folks who rated this hotel anything higher than a 3 have ever traveled outside of Oklahoma.

GROSS!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/08
Traveling with a large group of people (10 rooms), NONE of us enjoyed our stay. We tried desperately to move hotels but had trouble finding a hotel with that many rooms available on short notice. The entire hotel smelt aweful!! A combination of smoke, weed, and dogs. The room they orginally assigned to me was missing a pane of glass in a window opening to the street, and also the smoke alarm was missing. They moved us to another room which smelt terrible, smoke and weed coming in through the air conditioner. It was so bad it woke us up in the middle of the night. The beds were old and felt grimey. There are mulitple bars and clubs throughout, we were hit on everytime we walked by the dirtbags in the bars and we were woke up both nights by loud parties returning to their rooms. After the second calling to the rude front desk they finally went somewhere else. We debated going to get in the hot tub one night, but were too scared to go! Terrible atmostphere... creepy, picture perfect for a remake of the SHINING...Over all this is the WORST hotel I have ever been in! Save yourself and DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Good value and location overall but could use tlc.
By The LoneGranger, 8/20/08
We were on a very long trip and found the Biltmore to be more reasonable than other places we stayed. this place is huge and check in took at least half an hour. Many reunions and conferences are here so it is crowded. There are a couple of bars and pools on property. The rooms are kind of old and plain and need some TLC. The Coffee Maker and everything is in the Bathroom and that is not too sanitary but there is no there no other outside sink etc. It is close to many places to eat. The parking lot is very busy so watch the dogs and kids well. When other guests close their room doors it reverberates through the whole wing kinda loud.

Get what you pay for
By Concerned parent2, 7/12/08
This a cheap hotel, limit your expectations to the price you are paying. It is not a terrible or disgusting hotel, but definately doesn't qualify for nice. As stated in other reviews, there are water stains on ceiling....EVERYWHERE. The hallyways have plastic on the carped all over the place for some reason. Very thin walls. Expect to hear everything going on outside your room. We hear people walking talking, room cart rolling down the hall, people talking in the pool area (we are on the 2nd floor above the pool). It took FOREVER to check in, there was a large line and 1 staff member. Eventually a guy (maybe a supervisor) told a room of girls in the back about the line and made one of them help us. We planned touring the local attractions all day so all we cared for was a clean room and it really is. There is NOTHING fancy about the room, but ours was clean. One funny thing....there is a phone next to the toilet. The shower is lacking, not too nice and if you try to move the shower head over, it nearly pulls out of the wall. Takes forever to muster up some hot water in the shower as well, we would just let it run for 10 minutes before getting in. The staff was pretty accommodating to our needs, we didn't ask for much though. My wife requested more pillows at 10 at night and we had them within minutes. The hotel is very conveniently located and really only about 8 minutes from Bricktown. Just a block from the highway making it very easy to get around. Our room has a bed, tv, 2 phones, iron/board, couch, chair, desk, etc. The also have wireless internet in the rooms. It is a VERY poor signal, but it does work (most of the time). Parking is horrible, if you come in later at night (we usually didn't get back here til after 10) you will not be parking remotely close to your room. Plan to walk! Parking during the day is adequate. I would recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget or just cheap when it comes to hotel rooms (like me). It is worth the money, but there are several motels in the area also. There are a few fast food places realy close and Wal-Mart is only about 4 minutes away and you don't have to get back on the highway to get to it.

Best hotel in OK. City
By Frank, 6/21/08
I was at the Sgt. Grits Gritogether in 06 and 08, and I've never been treated so nice before. The staff were helpful in every way possible. Most places will not help handicap Vet., but the Biltmore staff went above and beyond. I'm looking forward to next years visit. Frank Tiller
