Crowne Plaza Blue Ash, Cincinnati

INFORMATION: July 28th we stayed in the Cincinnati Blue-Ash Crowne Plaza (3.5*) and found bed bugs in our bed. I killed one of them to show my exterminator. The hotel staff asked me if they could use it first to show their exterminator and that after my trip to Kings Island, I could come back to retrieve the bug. Amazingly, Mr. Danny Hill (the general manager) said that it was most definitely not a bed bug but instead a fruit fly. Look at the pictures of each bug and you will see that there is very little resemblance. When I requested to have the bug back to check with my exterminator, it is unfortunately stuck with their entemologist....imagine that!!!! You would think that if it was NOT a bed bug that they would be glad for me to take it to my exterminator. The most sickening aspect of this disturbance was the way we were treated by Mr. Hill. We assumed that our room would be discounted/refunded due to the fact that we had several bugs (any type of bug!!!) crawling around in our room. However, he did not make this offer and I had to dispute it through priceline. Mr. Hill has since informed me that my bug was not a bed bug, but instead LICE!! I still say it is a bed bug, but I don't know which is worse...bed bugs or lice!! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL unless you want to take bugs home with you AND be treated like trash by the managment. The gentleman that checked us in was pleasant. I believe his name was Howard.

We celebrated our family reunion there in July, 2006. I had several concerns in my room and the staff responded to it quickly. Staff was very polite. I loved the atrium area. We had an overflow of family in the corridors but it enabled us to mix and mingle. The hospitality suite could have been brighter. The kids loved the pool area.

Looks like it was recently remodeled. Clean, quiet rooms. Amazing atrium area. Free high speed internet. Very relaxing and the food was quite good. Would definitely come back again.
