Quality Hotel and Suites Central, Cincinnati

Unclean linen, bed skirts, table in room. Bathroom was only area which wasn't bad. Breakfast area undesireable. Hot breakfast? Do frozen bagels & microwave qualify? Elevators unreliable & scary! Only reason we booked was because of close proximity to our son & dauther-in-law in Hyde Park. Next time will pay more, and travel farther -- to sum it up, you get what you pay for!

have been staying here for quite some time always nice... Until now when we arived i went to check in the guy says we have no rooms so i go and get my conformation number and still has no rooms has one smoking room which he let us have finally just before i lost my cool too much stress not worth it breakfast was a joke it is a nice place just bad management !!!!!!!!

The suite was full of little bugs flying around. The lamps were so dirty,you could see the dirt on the bases of them. The breakfast was so bad,hard dried out biscuits and sausage gravy. No washcloths had to ask for them every day. Pool was full of rocks and dirty. All the other times we stayed if was great. Don't know what happened.

This place gets worse each time. We have learned our lesson, I don't care how close it is to Xavier. It is dirty and unsafe.We had a 2 night reservation, Fri-Sun. The elevators were out of order off and on the entire time. Only one of the two elevator worked sometimes but both were out most of the time. We had to walk up/down 7 flights of stairs. The staff could have cared less. They could have notified guests so you didn't walk down 7 and find you had to walk up 7 to get your luggage and drag it all back down. The stairway was dark (lights out), dirty, cigarettes on the floor, food on the floor...disgusting. For the most part the staff does not speak English so asking for help is useless. When I did ask the front desk clerk, Denise, for help her reply was "I don't have anyone to help you". No manager available. Their expanded breakfast that they boast in their ad consisted of pealed hard boiled eggs and sausage and biscuits...both days. Tell me it isn't just brought out day after day til it's gone. The handle on the toaster is broke, they don't wipe anything down. I hope the City of Norwood Building Dept checks this place out ....it is dirty and unsafe. Would not recommend this at all!!!

We were very happy to have gotten three day package with one free room night as our entire family coverd Kings Island and Reds Ball game in the same Trip. Room quality was above avarage and spacious room with all new bedding. Bathroom was clean also with nice tub surroundings. Room service came in slow but the food was tasty and children enjoyed it. No parking fee compared to downtown so there were additional savings. Internet worked good and fitness center was nice. Still can't believe we got such a bargain.

Four Star Hotel for Three Star Price !!! I see they have done renovation of all public areas. Friendly Service, Spacious Rooms, Great Bargain! Hot Deluxe Breakfast Buffet with eggs, four kinds of bread, bagels, hot waffles, yogurt, fruits and many others. Room was clean, bed was soft, All bedding is new and my Business Executive room had Fruit and water bottle ready. Connecting to wireless internet was a breeze. All room amenities worked, like coffee maker and Iron. Took a fast swim at the Outdoor Pool and headed to the Restaurant connected to lobby. Good prices and good menu at Buffalo Wings and Rings Restaurant. Fitness center and business center looked great. I printed boarding pass for my next flight and headed to room for sleep. The bed was soft yet firm. Bathroom was big and clean. I will definitely be back here for my next time in Cincinnati!

My fiance and I have previously stayed at this hotel three times. Our past stay this October will be our last. When we checked in, our initial room was a mess. The room smelled, the wallpaper was peeling, and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been clean, especially the toliet seat. I complained about the status of our room and we were upgraded to a "suite" - a normal room with a couch, extra TV, and small refrigerator. Unfortunately, during the last day of our stay, a maintenance worker cut power to our hotel room to make some repairs. We were never warned about the power outage and later found out that the maintenance worker decided to do it because it was convenient for him. That same night, a loud party above us kept going until about 2AM and we were unable to sleep. I ask to see the manager the following morning at check-out. I was told he was unavailable and to contact him at a later time and date. I finally chased him down on the phone about a week after our stay and informed him of our stay experience. He said he would have to talked with the hotel owner to do anything for us. After another week, I was informed that the hotel owner would not comp our Saturady night stay because we were already compensated by being upgraded to the "suite"... even though we really couldn't take advantage of this "suite" for relaxing and sleeping purposes on Saturday. I was thoroughly disgusted with how the hotel manager dealt with my situation. His lack of being able to deal with my complaint initially, the fact that I had to track him down to register the complaint, and how he just "passed the buck" to and from the hotel owner in dealing with my predicament. If the hotel room we originally requested was up to the previous standards we have experience here, we would definitely come back a fourth time. Not anymore.

We had not made reservations, but chose Quality Inn for the name brand, the reputation. The clerk found it challenging to explain the room charges. First it was one amount, then $10 more. ?? Way off to the side I accidentally saw a printed caveat to debit card payers. ??? We asked for non-smoking and were told that, yes, one was available. Upon entering, we smelled that it was clearly a room that was smoking, and right next to the noisy vending area, so immediately we asked to be switched, requesting that the new room overlook the pool. This next room was not overlooking the pool - it was on the wrong side of the building! Miss Keisha the cleaning lady was fantastic (pretty freckles), as was a maintainance man whose name escapes me (good people, both desreving 5 stars!!) They intervened and were professional, and they helped with the sadly apparent language barrier between myself and Reddy the desk clerk from India, without disrespecting him. We were told that he's a trainee. Did it bother him that he was 0 for 2 in getting us a decent room? Not at all. He was slow as molasses and had to even call elsewhere to find out how to refund my debit card, but this was just icing on the cake, like a 3 Stooges marathon. Upon checking my account at the bank this morning, what do I find? I have been charged the max for our non-stay!! Should have more carefully read the caveat - Will follow our nose more quickly next time!

The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the internet worked while we were there. However, everything else was just either average or bad. To begin with, the pool was filled with little leaves. I agree with the other review, it DID hurt to walk around the pool. We even saw a big rat by the pool area. The room was small and crowded. The breakfast was the typical bagels, muffins, eggs, sausage and potatoes. The last day we were there they ran out of sausages and they kept saying it'll be out in 5 mins. We waited 30 mins. and we never got sausages. The gameroom had 3 video machines, that's all. The hotel is definitely older. It's like a Super 8 or Motel 6, ok for sleeping, but I won't recommend for a family vacation.

This once exceptional property changed hands about 2 years ago, and it is beginning to show. Staff was neutral, the entire property has a tired look and feel, and badly needs a re-furb. HS internet didn't work because "Time-Warner took everything out." Excellent breakfast and lobby coffee. Other than that, a tired property. Sad, because it was once a showpiece.
