Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, Cincinnati

Our troubles started at check in and lasted until check out. The girl at the front desk was extremely rude and condescending. I reserved a block of five rooms which were scattered all over the hotel. The carpet was filthy. There were roaches in one room, some of which made it home in the luggage! The cold water sink handle constantly fell off and so did the towel rack on the wall in the bathroom! Upon checkout I was charged $60 extra and the rude and condescending girl could not tell me what is was far, just that "this is the balance on your room." Which I had already paid for!!! Basically, we got a roach motel (literally) room at a Peabody price. I have never been so disappointed in a hotel. This one is all fluff and no quality past the extravagant fountain in the front lobby. Don't let all the marble and granite fool ya!

I had reservations for two King rooms ajoined and when I checked in they said there was no such room. Recieved 2 seperate kings and when I enterd the room it was so strong of cigars and urine I almost got sick. Asked to have different rooms and moved without problems. Service is great as far as front desk and valet!! but the pool is small and the area is potent with chlorine. No breakfast, not even coffee offered for free.

My wife and I had no reservation but were told we could have the last room available for $139.00 a night. I guess there was a convention going on and the Reds were in town playing the Cardinals. We entered the room to the smell of wet carpet,mold, and Ozium spray. The carpet was in fact wet in some areas. A note on the nightstand informed us that this was a non-smoking room and if we smoked we would be charged $250.00 to have the room cleaned. That seems like a lot for a $4.50 can of Ozium spray. The bed was like all other Hyatt Regency hotels we have stayed at....which is very comfortable. The bathroom was very, very, very small. We almost had to straddle the toilet to use the sink. Location was this hotels best feature. We had tickets to a Reds baseball game and the walk to the stadium was only a few blocks. Fountain square ( The fountain on the WKRP in Cincinnati TV show years ago ) also was just a few blocks from the hotel. All in all there are other hotels close by.....we will give one of them a try before going back to this Hyatt again.

The distance from Ft. Wright Kentucky is very close to see family members and I really like our room that was provided for us. The room was great. We ordered room service and they came to the door very fast and was very convient. The restuarant downstairs (Findlys) will charge you $9 for a cup of coffee!!! We enjoyed walking through the skywalk to the other end to the mall to visit shops. The first day, the valet parking was very easy and convient and took excellent care of my Navigator. The day i was checking out, we called to bring the SUV around, and took them over an hour to bring it to the front. The day i was checking out, we called the Bellhop person to help us with a lot of luggage. It took them over an hour to come to our room to help us. We finally decided that it wasnt worth our time to wait for them.

Very nice hotel, clean but not spacious room, good views and close to downtown venues. On the down side, be advised that if you read that they have wireless internet, that it is only FREE to T-Mobile plans and everyone else has to pay $10 per day. When we called and made the reservation we were told it was free but they conveniently neglected to say with T-Mobile plans. If you want to eat meals in the hotel restaurant, fine. If you expect to go out, there are not that many places in a "short" walking distance, plan on driving.

We like to take our kids someplace different every year. We picked the Hyatt because of the central location. Close to the Zoo, museums, and Aquarium in Newport KY. Lots of restraunts close. Hotel is clean and staff is very courteous. Rooms are note huge but very comfortable. Had fun watching out over the city below. A great stay!!

I recommend anyone visiting the city stay at this hotel. My stay here was really great. I travel alot and sometimes the hotel names do not always live up to their reputation but it was definitely achieved here. The front desk service and valets were excellent. The staff friendly, even security. I didn't like paying for internet access but the fee was minimal and I needed it, so I paid it. The hotel offered self parking but I chose to valet and recommend it if not concerned about a budget. The hotel was located near one of the main highways for easy access but centrally located in the heart of the city. I had access to shopping and browsing within walking distance. The room was quiet and very clean. Very spacious and the beds were great. You will definitely get a good night's sleep no matter if just in from a business venture or night on the town. I especially enjoyed the complimentary computer at the front desk to allow me to check-in early for my flight before heading to airport. That was the best feature for me on this trip. This is definitely my permanent choice of hotels to stay on my future trips to the city.

Have stayed here twice this baseball season. Combo air and hotel deal with travelocity well worth the price. Close to the Stadium, plenty of places to eat and libate nearby. Will stay here next trip if it is available.

Just made reservations for the Regency Club on the 21st floor. I was given a smoking option and I chose smoking. Only after confirming reservation did I find out that the 21st floor is NO SMOKING. As a matter of fact, the only smoking floor in the hotel is the 6th floor. Nowhere on the website is this information available. If you want a wonderful view and a smoking room, better look somewhere else.

Hotel was great!!!!Staff courteous and friendly. Room was clean and we were given a room with a beautiful view of the river and neighboring Kentucky. I slept the best ever! Hyatt knows comfort. Not much to do in the city, not a vacation place, but if you are on business or have a reason to be in Cinncinati, Hyatt is the way to go...
