Disappointed!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/11
Very disappointed with the rooms! For a supposedly "Higher-End" Hotel, there was no fridge or microwave in the room. Stayed there for 3 nights while attending a conference. Had to raid the ice machine to keep drinks cold in the bathroom sink. When staying for more than a night or two, this sure would be nice. You need to take a lesson from some of the 'lower-end' hotels like Days Inn, or Econo Lodge who offer these ammenites, AND offer a continental breakfast.. Sure would have been a treat to be able to get a bagel or sweet roll, coffee and orange juice first thing in the morning. At $125/night, I feel cheated. I don't think I'll be staying at a Holiday Inn anytime soon, when for $80/night or less, I can get these ammenities and a much friendlier staff that is willing to please!!!!!

Never going back
By Mary, 5/23/11
We stayed at the Holiday Inn, Fargo ND at the beginning of May. We have friends with children in the area and this was our second stay. We have also stayed many times in other Holiday Inns in Bozeman, MT and Moses lake, WA. We paid extra for a poolside room so that we could be close to the pool and hot tub. After an hour in the pool, we had to exit due to another guest having an "accident" in the pool. Totally understandable, but ruined it for the kids. We were hopeful that we would have a nice soak in the hot tub the next morning before leaving. Everywhere in the hotel it is posted that the hot tub is open at 7am. We called at 6:15am to confirm this and were told by the front desk that the hot tub would be available. We went down to the hot tub at 7am and it was closed due to cleaning, but would be open at 9am. We had to leave and weren't able to enjoy that either. Why isn't this cleaned during the evening when the pool/hot tub area is closed. We drove 300 plus miles to stay here for nothing. We were told that the extra money we paid for the poolside would be credited but so far this hasn't been done. We were told we could order pizza for the kids at the pool area. The staff told us (rudely) they were too busy to order us a pizza because of the number of birthday parties. When I contacted the hotel through email, I was informed that I would get a response in a week. This was almost a month ago and I haven't heard a thing from them. I am not going to stay at your hotel again, and have told this to friends who will not be staying with you either.

Lacking
By MN, 10/18/10
Staff were not interested or interacting, more like our arrival was an inconvenience. (Only two security staff Joe and Brandon were genuine in their assistance.) We were given a room with adjoining doors, not requested, should've made change immediately. Guests in next room had party all night, small children fussing and parents yelling. Room change next day better but only compensation some nothing coupons and no sincere apology, just an oh well what do you expect attitude. Next morning, no hot water due to pipe breaking but no call to explain to guests. All together, would not go back or recommend to family/friends.

READ IF YOU HAVE KIDS
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/8/10
I have a few concerns with our stay at your hotel from March 30, 2010 to April 2, 2010. My first impression of the hotel was this is probably the cleanliness and friendly place I have ever stayed at. I was greeted right away, I was put in my room right away. Then we went to the pool. My issue with the pool were, the staff was just sitting in their chairs, not supervising the children on the water slides, there were children running on the pool deck (my five year old got pushed over). I was there with a group of 12 people and three of us parents would take turns standing at the top of the slide, because of the pushing, other children not waiting till it was safe to go (smaller children not far enough away for the slide) balls, being thrown around in the pool and hitting the smaller kids. I expect if you pay a lot of money to stay at hotel, the staff would try and make it safe for other children to have fun at the pool instead of just sitting there have conversations amongst them selfs. Later in the evening we were sitting at the ping pong tables and our kids were playing with their cars on the carpet, playing ping pong and stretching their legs. There was a birthday party going on at the time and the older kids were playing volleyball right in the same area, how is that even safe to play that??? Your staff again just walked by and said nothing. Again one of us parents had to go and ask them to stop. We had requested a fridge to be brought to our room, and not more then 20 minutes later I had to request that they come and pick it up, as the freezer was covered in mold and my child has asthma and it was not safe in the room, for him and to keep our food. Also, as we were on the first floor, we had notice that there was an ant issue in the room. As we are pet owners, we did not keep any food out (in case the dog got it) we didn't have juice, candy or anything. I guess the amusing part of that was my kids would spend time looking for them and killing them. Our group of friends really wanted to make this trip something we do twice a year, but I am not sure if we would every return to this hotel. We paid $348.00 for this stay, and we feel that we should have been paid to be life guards at the pool. Tara

over charged and over promised
By POD, 1/4/10
We were told check in was 4:00 pm and they said it could be earlier, not. Iwent there at 4 and they had to have a priority put on my room and we got in at 4:50. I got a pool side room and our relatives didn't and they were in at 1:20. I asked why they wouldn't clean a more exspensive room first but they blew me off. They werecompletly under staffed and didn't care or even offer me a discount or any compensation.

Nice stay
By marie, 7/12/09
Hotel is nice and in a great location. I94 and I24 cross right there. The mall is right across the street. Many good resturants are in the area. Pool is very nice. It is open for long hours which my kids loved. Hotel has very young staff that really dont know what they are doing. I booked a suite which I was told had two queen beds and pull out coach. I got a King bed and pull out coach. They gave two roll aways without cost to make up for it. Fridge in room kept going out. Room I was in was clean but needed repairs. All in all the hotel was very nice and I would stay there again mostly because of the location. I was disappointed in the room. The bed was very comfortable but the furniture was old but in good condition. Hope this helps.

Alright stay...beds were great!
By Tara, 6/22/08
The beds were excellent...the most comfortable night of sleep I had on my whole vacation. The pool was great for the kids. They should have a member of the staff in the pool area though, a lot of kids were running up the water slides rather than sliding down them...making it rather difficult for my 4 year old to have a chance to use them. The hot tub wasn't filled all the way. The hallways were way too long. It took like 5 minutes to walk from our room to the front desk. What ever happened to complimentary breakfast? Does anyone do that anymore? Besides that it was a nice hotel.

really nice!
By tinkie, 3/6/08
My friend and I had a really nice time there. The staff was really helpful at finding us a great sushi bar, something hard to find in ND. The room smelled fresh and clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant food was OK for the prices, we also made sure we did not go during peak hours. It is very close to the mall and other shopping. Perhaps because we stayed there on a Tuesday night, we did not deal with crowds or children. We would come back again!!

CRANKY STAFF !!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/7/08
Family vacation to Holiday Inn was good Except for two things.. 1.The suites were half a mile from the pool area so by the time you got there you and the kids were to tired to swim , we were not told told this before we spent $ 175.99 US on a " Family suite per night ". 2.The Hotel says "Kids Eat Free " We went in to the resturant for breakfast there were kids "YELLING & ACTING UP" When we asked our server if he could ask the family to control thier children He was very rude & replied " this is a family palce " you should know that too bad ".!! We told the rest manager " she couldn't care less" we have 3 children also we expect more from the Holiday Inn... " a family place alright" more like a Zoo !!!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/5/08
the staff the food the cleanliness ...everything was excellent the closeness of shopping is second to none the staff .. from the reception desk to the restaurant to the lounge ... all should receive an award or recognition of some kind ... personally after spending some 30 or so years on the front lines working for an airline as a ticket agent i know what excellent service is ... and all of your staff also knows what it is ... they give it in spades !!! your hotel is very fortunate to have such wonderful staff !!!
