Nice Place
By MsJenita, 01/18/09
I picked this hotel since it wasn't far from the Mall, museum of science, etc. We went during the coldest weekend of the winter. It was cold when you entered your floor. I think they did some renovating at one time. The rooms were nice and the heat also fried us the first night, i guess my boyfriend had it on high.

Overpriced
By Amanda, 03/15/06
We stayed here about a week ago. For what you get, this hotel is extremely overpriced. There are bare necessities for amenities. No microwave, no mini-fridge. There is a microwave in the lobby, but who wants to march downstairs at 4 AM to warm a baby bottle? There's a pool and a hot tub, but we obviously didn't check that out with it still being winter and all. They have a decent, moderately priced bar. Food is a little blah. If you want a place to just crash, this may be your thing, but if you want to hang out, pick a different hotel.

Great place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/06
Some friends and I spent the night in the hotel and we had a very pleasant experience. Everyone was nice and very helpful in helping us find places that we were looking for there in raleigh. The room was thoroughly cleaned and I was able to take my shoes off and walk on the carpet with my bare feet and feel comfortable. We will definitly be staying there again and again. Thanks!!

Double charged and given short shrift - AVOID
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/10/04
Stayed one night on 29 October 2004. Had booked that night only, received checkout form in A.M., left by 6:30 AM, 30 October 2004. This was one (1) night only. No coffee ready at that hour, even at the 24 hour coffee cart. Checked my credit card statement days later, noted that I had been charged for two (2) nights. Called front desk, clerk said he would "try" to correct the situation. Basically gave me the brushoff, as did the corporate type I spoke with minutes later. I have original paperwork from reservation, plus the bill for one night's stay, plus statements from others who can verify that I did not spend a second night in the hotel. No help from Holiday Inn on resolving this, plus their Guest Services types are very rude and condescending. Avoid these people.
