Still under construction, nice staff

It may be nice again once they finish renovations.
There was a six-story scaffolding directly over the only handicapped parking at the front, with no temporary replacement evident. What's worse is it even blocked the only ramps onto the curb into the building.
The hot tub was not hot (it was broken and about the same temperature as the pool, according to other guests we spoke too).
The pool area is overlooked by all six floors with a high ceiling, which seemed to have some water damage. We found pieces of white foam in the hot tub which I thought might have fallen from there as well.
The ceiling in the bathroom had more-than-minor water damage, and in fact continued to leak when the room above had their shower running. A large plastic plate over the damage was reassuring that the ceiling above wouldn't fall on your head, but it did seem curious that the source of the damage hadn't then been fixed. We had special requirements for the room, so I think it is likely they don't normally use it.
The staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and accomidating. It was very easy to locate. I think once the renovations are complete it will be a wonderful place, but until then a Holiday Inn with a good staff would be a far better value.
