Holiday Inn Hotel - Biltmore East, Asheville

Good location for the short time we had to visit. Had a chance to visit several local spots that were of interest. Would consider a repeat visit to Asheville and this motel.

Best stay for the money! Awesome breakfast and facilities.

I agree with most of the other favorable reviews. But ... Everything was done well within the limitations of the motel's original footprint. They have done a nice job of renovation, but trying to place a desk with an office chair and a loveseat makes it impossible to walk through the room if the desk is being used. This may seem a bit nitpicky, given the room value. The only other negative is their breakfast room is far too small. The motel was less than half full, yet many people could not find a chair. They have a wonderful coffee maker in the breakfast room, and each cup is brewed to order. This would be wonderful for later in the day, but is totally inefficient for breakfast. They need a true coffee urn for breakfast, but I doubt there is room. I would definitely stay there again, but like this morning I might just picked up a bananna and some yogurt on the way out.

The rooms are a little small, but it was the cleanest hotel room that we have had in years. And the staff were super nice. And its nearness to Biltmore was soooo convenient.

We stopped to stay the night after we had just been married on 07/07/07. We were going to Gatlinburg but weren't checking in until Sunday so around midnight we stopped in Asheville at the Quality Inn and Suites because a friend had told us it was nice. My husband went in and had to wait forever for someone to come to the window and when the man did finally get there he had to wait for him to get off the phone. My husband asked him what the rate for the night was and the man looked him up and down and said "You can't afford it" it was the worst experiance I have ever had at a hotel and will never go back and none of my family or friends will either.

I read the other reviews and decided to stay there this past weekend. It was very, very clean and the workers were so nice to us. Each morning, we ate the hot breakfast, which included waffles, sausage, biscuits, gravy ,cereal, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt and danishes. The attendant gave my son a cookie and told him it was from the Easter Bunny each morning too. I really felt at home and will definately stay there again on my next trip!

Stayed here in November 07. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. The only complaint was the small area for breakfast. Took fruit and coffee back to the room. Would stay here again.

We were on vacation touring the mid-Atlantic states and had stayed in Quality Inns before. On July 25, 2007, when we arrived at the front counter, the receptionist was very snobby and seemed short tempered. I thought the price of the room was a bit high, however we were tired from driving all day so we proceeded with checking in. When we got to our room - #252 - it seemed rather dark and dirty. After looking around a bit, it was dirty! The door looked as if someone had dripped coffee down it, the bathroom vanity was filmy and around every light switch the walls were blackened with fingerprints! I wanted to check out and get reimbursed immediately, but we were afraid we would have to drive a fair distance before coming to another vacancy, not knowing the area. All in all, this was the dirtiest room I had the "pleasure" of staying in the whole trip. Sincerely, Teresa Wissler

Hotel was newer and nice and clean. Room was cozy with king size bed and loveseat. Had a great hot breakfast and great coffee!!

We stayed here for one night and left early due to cock roaches, soiled beds, and filthy restrooms.Would not have stayed even the one night but rude management would not give a refund after 10 minutes in the room. Don't go here!!!!!
