Holiday Inn Hotel - Biltmore East, Asheville

We made reservations from the Hwy. When we got to the hotel we gave our confirmation number and confirmed the price. I asked to see the room, it was well used, with a bad odor of Chemicals, but clean. (we were exhausted from driving 12 hours, so we stayed) we left first thing in the morning. Two days later when checking with the credit card company I found out that the hotel over charged me. I called and talked to the woman at the front desk, who informed me she could not do anything regarding the billing and I would have to talk to the manager ( Cheryl Smith) the next day. When I didn't receive a call I called the hotel back and spoke to Samantha who informed me that the manger was not in and she could not do any thing. I asked to talk to the owner (Bob Patel) and was put through to his voice mail. To this date I still haven't heard from anyone at the hotel and my Credit card has not been credited. We traveled all the way across the United States on this trip and this was by far the worst place we stayed, from start to finish. The staff needs a lesson in customer service.

My husband & I have been coming here for four years now for our anniversary. We really liked the room that we had so we would reserve it every year that we could. First year several people stopped us outside the room & ask for money that they were broke. Third year, differant room, people in room beside us were sundowners! No rest for us!!! Well this year our room one of the heater unit blew up & caught on fire, water fixtures would not shut off. The staff said they forgot to call mantiance to fix our heat after almost two hours then we had to call her cause the room was cold. Bad electrical problems. They are going to get some one hurt or the place will catch on fire. We will be staying elsewhere from here on out. The staff needs to be more dependable & caring about their guest. They did not even check back to see if we were o-k or anything that night. So what does that tell you? Service? What Service? Get A new staff!! But you need to get the place rewired before you catch it on fire!! If you want people to keep coming back you need to take care of the place & our complaints!!

This is in a stunningly beautiful location. Billy Grahams Cove training center is within walking distance. There are 2 high definition TV sets in the lobby so I got to watch LA vs Boston. There are also 2 computers there for those who don't have laptops with them. There is no indoor pool. A smallish outdoor pool. But it wasn't too crowded as it seems to be more retired people here. The temperatures were above 90 so that made the pool tolerable. Otherwise it probably would have been cold. The breakfast buffet is a great savings. All you can eat. These older people and some families just wore the dining room out. That alone probably saves you $20. The city decided to flush their water mains out on a Friday so that made the pools dirty for thousands of visitors. It would seem they could have picked a better time. We really enjoyed our visit here and felt it was a great value for what you get. Some people came here from the Motel 6 across the street and decided to stay here instead. All the rooms have frig and microwave, and the exercise room also has a large TV, but not high def. So there are actually 3 large TV's in the lobby area and two are High Def.

It was the cleanest motel I have ever stayed in. I always check everything and there was not a speck of dust, dirt, hair or anything anywhere. The beds were very comfortable, that bathroom nice an roomy and the free breakfast was very good with lots of hot and cold choices. Will definately stay there again.

Stayed here in November 07. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. The only complaint was the small area for breakfast. Took fruit and coffee back to the room. Would stay here again.

Great location. Exit 55, the east end of Asheville. Tunnel rd runs into Asheville, going by the Parkway interchange, restaurants, the mall and the VA Hospital. Easy to get to and easy to get back onto the interstate. Nice looking building. Pool was very cold. We stayed for 3 nights. Rooms are very nice, albeit a bit cramped. Not bad for 2 adults and 1 child though. Big bathroom. But a very pleasant room with a good, steady air conditioner. I wasnt bothered by any outside noises. We were in a room in the west building. The west parking lot is very cramped and I would not be surprised if alot of vehicles get hit while people try to both park and try to get out. Seriously, it is tight in there. The breakfast was fantastic and the breakfast area and front desk area was very pleasant. I would most certainly stay there again.

We were on vacation touring the mid-Atlantic states and had stayed in Quality Inns before. On July 25, 2007, when we arrived at the front counter, the receptionist was very snobby and seemed short tempered. I thought the price of the room was a bit high, however we were tired from driving all day so we proceeded with checking in. When we got to our room - #252 - it seemed rather dark and dirty. After looking around a bit, it was dirty! The door looked as if someone had dripped coffee down it, the bathroom vanity was filmy and around every light switch the walls were blackened with fingerprints! I wanted to check out and get reimbursed immediately, but we were afraid we would have to drive a fair distance before coming to another vacancy, not knowing the area. All in all, this was the dirtiest room I had the "pleasure" of staying in the whole trip. Sincerely, Teresa Wissler

We stopped to stay the night after we had just been married on 07/07/07. We were going to Gatlinburg but weren't checking in until Sunday so around midnight we stopped in Asheville at the Quality Inn and Suites because a friend had told us it was nice. My husband went in and had to wait forever for someone to come to the window and when the man did finally get there he had to wait for him to get off the phone. My husband asked him what the rate for the night was and the man looked him up and down and said "You can't afford it" it was the worst experiance I have ever had at a hotel and will never go back and none of my family or friends will either.

Parking lot very crowded with two large travel buses and truck with trailer, which were not moved or entered for two days. Desk people were extremely rude and inconsiderate when questioned about this situation. They are completely untrained about customer relations

Good location for the short time we had to visit. Had a chance to visit several local spots that were of interest. Would consider a repeat visit to Asheville and this motel.
