Diamond Back of Little Switzerland Inn Chalet
The idea is great to have an area where motorcyclists can have their own building and covered parking. The front porch area is great and we liked the layout and the big trees.
The building itself needs updates- the doors to the rooms are very thin, with a large gap at the bottom and do not feel secure. The bathroom is neither old and quaint nor modern and efficient- more like something from the 50s that has never been updated.
We were there on a Friday night, and the restaurant does a buffet. The buffet was $32 (OUCH!) for seafood and we don't like to eat off of buffets. The menu was limited to only 3 choices due to the buffet. :-(
The waiter never did show us a menu, and didn't explain what our choices for sides were with our meal. We had to go with the special of the night, then after 10 min he had to come back and ask us what sides we wanted. With a $28 steak, I only got 1 side! (of course, we didn't know how much we were paying at that point). We had to remind him to bring us bread (we were starving because we had skipped lunch). He walked over to the buffet and got us cold rolls and some margarine. I almost got up and left.
Once the food came, it was very good, and the place seemed popular. We just thought that for that kind of money, you should get much more thorough service, real butter and warm bread, and a little more substance to the rooms.
