Kinda Sucks
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/4/11
When we asked for towels they said they might not be able to provide them because the hotel was almost full. HUH? Don't people make reservations so you expect them and shouldn't a hotel be prepared to handle their guests. Things like conditioner was not available. We booked a conference room for a party and after being given a different room and menu then we originally booked half of the lights in the room were out. The girls who served us were not trained well but atleast tried to be courteous while we ate in the dark. I would not recommend this hotel at all. There was one person at the front desk who was also handling the phone calls from the rooms so things moved slow. The hotel seemed to be void of management's presence or help.

Mass confusion
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/18/11
The rooms and common areas were clean, but the front desk staff have absolutely no idea what they are doing, and I am still trying to straighten out the overcharges on my bill.

Worst service I have ever seen
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/31/11
The hotel itself was clean however the service was horrible. When my family and I complained to the GM Nick Hately he was very rude and did resolve our matter at all. I truely got the impression that this man was either racist or just did not care about his job or hotel. I was very disappointed and would never consider staying at this hotel again.

surprisingly a nice visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/10/11
At first I was worried about staying here after reading the reviews, but upon arrival I was very satisfied. The hotel is very nice inside by the from desk, and looks just like the pictures. In my room I was very happy with the overall cleanliness of it. The garden tub was also a nice addition. The staff was very nice, but trying to get a hold of them by phone is almost impossible at times. It is in a great location, since my husband is in the army and fort Bragg is about 15 minutes away. The noise level was kept at a minimal, especially since it is right in front of a hospital. The only noise problem I ran in to was that the room next door was vacant but the alarm would go off every morning for a good 2 hours around 330 in the morning. It wasn't just beeping either, it was loud rap/r&b music blaring as loud as possible. Also, some times our key wouldn't work, just like someone else wrote in a review. But, I will most definitely be staying at this hotel again, and would recommend it to others.

Please complain.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/10
I have worked at this Holiday Inn for over a year and if something is wrong you have to complain. Complain complain complain! I'm sick and tired of being the one employee who does all the work, who fixes all the problems, the only one who cares. Please fill out your comment cards in extreme detail. Please ask to speak to the manager. Please write a scathing review if your service needs aren't met. Contact the hotel if the facilities aren't up to par. I'm tired of working with people who don't care about their jobs. I'm tired of working with broken tools and faulty equipment. I'm tired of doing everything by myself. Also if you can, complain to Joe. He's the new head manager here and he is worthless, make him do his job, for the love of God.

Ddisgusting
By Lis, 5/4/10
Run to the nearest hotel from another chain. Dirty room, terrible smell, loud renovation work & employee conversation outside window, pool closed, linens questionably clean, handicap access awful, had to change rooms, wish we had just moved to another hotel. We'll stay at the Marriott next time. And the service at the front desk was unhelpful and bungled nearly everything. Plus side? Free wifi.

My Go to Choice
By Bobay, 5/15/09
I have stayed here on many occasions. I like the location of this motel for access to Fort Bragg. Their rates are reasonable. The workout room is pretty good compared to what most places have. The rooms are in reliably good condition and cleanliness. They have a couple of problems. Their front desk is small, usually operated by one person. Very often there is a line to wait on as the clerk slowly process one person at a time- aggravating. They have a long running problem with room keys that stop working. On a couple of visits I had to go back to the front desk to get mine fixed. Last trip I saw someone come to the desk with that problem, plus a woman who reported that twice strangers had opened her door with a different room key card. Why they won't get this fixed, I can't imagine. Their restaurant is small and slow. I have given up on it in favor of the K&W Cafeteria next door- there you can get a delicious breakfast at amazingly speed and low price.

uncomfortable situation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/21/07
I was there with the Cape Fear Heart Associate. First of all, the ladies room was filthy. No toilet tissue, no paper towels, Empty toilet rolls in hallway. When we first entered the Buffet, the workers were finishing up the food line. There was a dispute between the manager, the one with dark glasses, and a nice Black server, the manager was rude to the server, abusing her verbally in front of us. I attended the function last year, and everything was great, and went smooth. The two older servers, the black woman, and the short white, dark haired lady, are always woking hard, and very nice. What happened? Is it under new management?
