Comfort Inn University, Amherst

the staff are great and friendly , they treated us very nice ! and clean what ever we needed they took care us ! and tiiffany the girl at the front desk is first class !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The staff was very friendly,and the room was nice. They even called our room 10min after we checked in to see if we were pleased with the room and asked if there was anything we needed.

The Comfort Inn was a nice surprise. The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to get me directions and answer my questions. The rooms were clean and pretty comfortable. It's across the street from UB, so it was really convenient for us. Breakfast was good and saved us alot of money and time from having to go out in the morning.

This is my third time staying at this hotel, I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe they had off days the other 2 times. the first 2 times were Very displeasing. It does look rather nice from the outside but step inside and it is old dark dusty and moldy. There are ants on the carpet. The bathroom fan makes terrible sounds all night as though the ceilings going to collapse. The housekeeping staff walked into my room 3 times just upon arrival and checking in at around 4pm. Why they felt the need to keep doing so I do not know? The next morning I asked to stay an extra day and the front staff treated me like they were doing Me a favor not even letting me stay in the same room I had been in that night before and making me see as thought I was a hassle because they had to 'search' through the rooms to find one available. 'Someone Important was coming in' and requested the room I was currently in.. I wasnt aware that highly important people stayed at the Comfort Inn. I didnt even mention the housekeeping people that try to get into your room as early as 8 am when checkout is at 11am, and if you are not out by 11 sharp you better believe they are banging on your door and/ or the front desk is calling and calling min after min. I stated I didnt need room service through the door just to get them to leave me ALONE and she Screamed back at me to open the door so I could sign her 'paper' that stated custmer decines housekeeping for the day. Then I told her through the door Im checking out at 11 so come back then so she proceeded to stand at the door and then went to get the supervisor. Are people really this slow or is it just me???? Over 107.00$ including tax for one night ! A complete waste of money. I feel highly aggitated. I received 3 hours of sleep because of all these antics. Its actually pretty obscene.

This hotel looks great from the outside! But wait, you have to go inside to sleep right? My family and I stayed at this hotel last weekend while in town for my mother's funeral. My room had mold on the ceiling above the tub and the tub itself just felt and looked dirty. The carpet felt wet and I did not enjoy staying there but we had made the reservations and we were too preoccupied with other things to make too much of a fuss... the sheets were clean. In my brother's room, the fan in the bathroom was not working which made showering like being in a sauna that never went away. I tend to stay in chain hotels when I travel, but after this experience, I'm rethinking that. My cousin and his family stayed at the Lord Amherst Inn in Williamsville and had a very nice stay in a clean, locally owned hotel. Too bad I didn't make reservations there.

Excellent service. Fair price. wireless internet. Great breakfast. Highly recommended for those who are not looking for the cheapest price to stay in town. Good value for the money.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this hotel had brand new everything. The room had news bed, furniture, and was very clean. The guest service representitive were very helpful and this hotel is conviently located across the street form the University at Buffalo.
