Super 8 Binghamton Front ST, Binghamton

My car broke down just outside of Binghamton back in Feb and luckly my dads friends live there and come to find out their daughter is the owner of this Super 8. I was really impressed compared to other Super 8's I have stayed in Maryland and North Carolina. I will be returning to this Super 8 this weekend to meet up with my husband and I am looking forward to staying in this clean hotel.

this place is a good bargain, not the best but not the worst. Though it may be haunted, so expect to hear footsteps above you if you stay on the top floor

Main problem was one of the rooms smelled like cigarette a lot. And non-smoking rooms are right next to smoking rooms so not much of an improvement there.

1) No luggage racks to move baggage 2) Room was smelly 3) Stained towels 4) Coffee served tasted like hot brown water. Was flavorless. 5) Morning staff could not provide simple (direction/mileage) travel info.

I feel badly to have to give a poor review but I am hoping it will cause someone to make improvements. Our bathroom had a very badly chipped toilet seat. The tub lever had to be held in order for the water to go down after a shower. The sheets were stained and there were very large, thin, worn areas. The door coming up the stairs had a doorknob that was ready to fall out. We had a double room, 4 people, and one bath towel. When my husband went down to get more towels he was handed only one towel; it's all they had. Breakfast was until 10am and by 9:15 almost everything was gone and it was not replenished. The bananas were the greenest I've ever seen and couldn't be eaten. A fuse had blown and so there wasn't any coffee or a toaster. The breakfast selection was poor. If you're looking for a place that is comparable in price and a better experience, stay at a Holiday Inn Express.
