I would not stay again

The rooms funiture was nice but dusty and hair was in the bathroom and when folded down sheets a long hair was on the pillow case. It did not give me a clean feeling. Also there was a used shampoo in bathroom. Front desk girl told my finace to go to the front desk and get some shampoo and then someone told him they did not have any! When my finace informed them that i was in the shower already they went to housekeeping to get the shampoo. We were not please with the room and the service.
 
 
 
 
 
Could have been excellent

We liked the location and cleanliness of the Smithfield Inn. The staff was very friendly. Our only complaint, is that we were anxious to use the pool, but when we went down at 9:30pm (pool closes at 11pm) the pool doors were locked and said it was closed for maintence? There was no one in or around the pool and felt that maintanence should be done during hours the pool is closed, not during time people should have access to swim. Only there for one night and felt cheated that we couldn't use the pool.

Super clean rooms!!!

I stay here several times a year on my way to the coast of Maine.Great location,service has always been very curtious,prompt,and respectful. Room price with AAA discount is hard to beat!

Great

I have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions. On my last stay, there was a problem with the room and the staff (front desk) were very, very nice and helpful. While the rooms are basic, they are very large, most with a balcony. The decor of the hotel itself is "old country style" and I love their lobby area. The pool is nice and large and the hotel is clean. While I am always surprised at the high prices charged for rooms in Plattsburgh!!!!, this hotel is priced within a normal range. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good rates, awesome service
