This hotel is a dump. There was what looked like dried blood on the box spring of the bed. It was moldy and mildewy and clearly has never been renovated since the early 70's (which I would be normally charmed by if it seemed clean.) When I check into a "budget" hotel I never expect luxury but I do expect it to be clean. It smelled like the place had a water leak at some point and that the carpet were full of mold and mildew. We didn't want to put our bags on the ground for fear they might get gross. We had two nights reserved. When we came back from being out for the day all the bedding and towels had been stripped from the room and not replaced. The room had not been cleaned despite the fact when we left for that afternoon the maid we were asked by the maid if we would need the room serviced and replied "yes, please." We went to the front desk and were told since we did not leave anything in the room they presumed we'd left. So clearly a common occurrence for them. We hadn't returned the key (old metal kind) and had reservations- so their presumption is just not good service. Lady at desk was dismissive then finally gave us another room in the other building. Building 3 turned out to be better than Building 2 but it still smells of mold. It was much more tolerable. I recommend looking elsewhere for accommodations in the area. This place is like the set of a horror movie.

Great location if you are coming to visit the north and south forks of long island. The staff were polite and helpfull with getting around town. The kids loved the pool and tennis court. The budget was the lowest price hotel that we could find in this area, and turned out to be the best value.

Good Value
We stayed here Memorial Day Weekend. Excellent service, nice staff. Rooms are clean and roomy. Pool was nice. Tennis courts and equipment provided. Great field for kids to play ball in.
