Would Not Go Back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/08
The lobby, my room, and the hallway of my floor were shabby, musty and uncomfortable. Also, the free parking lots that staff will cheerily tell you are "just a block away" are all full! After spending an hour circling along with a line of other cars, and miraculously finding a spot, I dared not move my car during the rest of my stay. There are other more modern-looking yet still charming hotels on the same street as the Adelphi (with parking included) which I would look into the next time. I would not go back to the Adelphi.

A Unique Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/05
A charming and unique hotel. Decor is very interesting. The Grotto is very nice for drinks and desserts. The location couldn't be more central to the Spa scene and the porch overlooking Broadway lets you take in all the activity. The hotel is expensive during racing season, as is everything at that time. Parking is about a block and half away in a unguarded, public lot. My primary complaint was the inability to regulate the water temperature in shower, making bathing a dangerous experience. The staff shrugged their shoulders on this issue, but promised to make an adjustment after talking to management. Which they never did. All in all, a fun spot with some caveats.

New found paradise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/05
The Adelphi is a jewel in the center of downtown Saratoga. The gardens and hidden pool area have the feel of a secluded European destination. The quality and the presentation of the food at the tea and breakfast, was an added bonus to the entire experience. The rooms are uniquely decorated with charm and comfort, including television and phone.
