An Amazing Experience!
By ,
The best place to stay in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in our book, is The Inn of the Alameda located within blocks of the world famous Canyon Road street of Art Galleries, along the Santa Fe River and a few short blocks from downtown, this resort is quiet and peaceful and extremely clean. We had the good luck to be able to exit our busy lives and take a time out for a pre-Valentine's weekend and loved every moment. After checking in we walked a few blocks into town for dinner, after which we had a lovely soak in their deep and thoroughly relaxing hot tub a few doors down from our room The hot tub seats four and for a tall person (almost 6 ft) it was amazingly comfortable with plenty of leg room and well spaced out jets. Under the winter skies of Santa Fe, we watched the stars and soaked our troubles away. The bed was the ultimate luxury. No sooner did we lay down than we were fast asleep. Our little casita was quintessential Santa Fe. Early the next morning, as Ted headed for the free continental breakfast, I got a chance to check out their exercise room. Well lit and ventilated, equipment in excellent condition. They have a treadmill, a cross trainer, and an exercise bike in addition to a diverse selection of free weights and an all in one weight training station. Walking through the building to the exercise room I couldn't help but notice how well kept and even new looking and clean smelling the whole building felt. A quality experience. We enjoyed this peaceful break so much that we wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the Santa Fe area.

Practically Perfect in Every Way
By ,
As a local, i chose the Inn on the Alameda out of all the hotels in Santa Fe to spend a "night out" for my son's birthday -- what a wonderful treat, i'm so pleased with my choice! For starters, there was a Happy Birthday balloon waiting in the room when we arrived. All weekend, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and celebratory. The room was comfortable, lovely, impeccable, and ridiculously well-priced. We met plenty of interesting and friendly travelers in front of the cozy fireplace at the wine and cheese reception.(The bartender, Charlie, was a gem!) The spa looked so inviting we decided to brave a hot tub in the snow ~ i was glad to find it hot enough to keep us warm in the freezing weather. The steam was simply magical floating over the sparkling snow, and my newly-6-year-old enjoyed having it to himself to splash in! Breakfast was delicious, varied and hearty ~ we ate so much granola and frittata and other yummies that we couldn't even eat lunch! We'll have to make this a tradition -- thank you, Inn on the Alameda, for making my son's birthday so special!

What a great deal!
By ,
They had a special three night deal with the third night at only $24. You can't beat that for downtwon Santa Fe, especially with everything they include - a big breakfast, a wine hour, free parking and wireless. It's really clean, has a friendly staff and a good location.

Will go back
By ,
Charming and convenient, a very tasty buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. We found the staff helpful. The rooms were quite attractive and the landscaping is lovely. We stayed in one of the casitas and enjoyed our litte courtyard. We'll go back.

best hotel in santa fe for location & value
By ,
We stay in Santa Fe often and almost always stay at the Inn. It is quiet and charming and an easy walk to the Plaza and Canyon Road. Breakfast buffet has the best selection of pastries, filled croissants, and fresh fruit. Service is attentive without being pretentious and the rooms are spotless. I would highly recommend the Inn for your first or next visit to Santa Fe. After we tried it we have come back to it again and again.

When in Santa Fe...
By ,
This peaceful, well appointed retreat in Santa Fe is our choice for accomodations in the area. Convenient to the Plaza and the galleries on Canyon Road, the Inn is an easy walk to many of the city's major attractions. It is a pet-friendly property that welcomes guests with excellent amenities that provide comfort and convenience. The complimentary breakfast and afternoon wine are superior in quality and variety to similar offerings at other hotels. On a recent visit I delayed in making a reservation and was told the inn was full. My request to be wait-listed was honored the day I arrived in Santa Fe and eventhough I had checked into another property, I immediately moved into the Inn on the Alameda foregoing a one night's deposit at the other property. Yes, it's that goood!

We are going back...again.
By ,
My husband and I have stayed at the Inn on the Alameda three times and are booking again for our next trip. You can't beat the location, just off the Plaza and adjacent to Canyon Road. It is a pleasant walk to most restaurants and bars you want to visit. We have sent many friends and family members there, and have never heard a disappointing review.

If you have a chance, don't miss the opportunity to stay at this delightful hotel with its cozy rooms and casitas! Waking up on a cold morning to the roaring fireplace and lovely breakfast, I can think of no better place for a relaxing interlude. Close to the Plaza and Canyon Road, this place is a gem!
