Swiss Chalet Inn, Ruidoso

We appreciated the friendly service...the front desk clerks were very helpful in answering our many questions about Ruidoso and the surrounding area. The location is awesome...the view is fantastic. I would definately recommend this motel to others...we felt the staff was sincere in welcoming us and making our visit memorable. It was well worth the money. The room was quiet, well-kept, large and very comfortable. We had a wonderful time and are anxious to return.

we were very disappointed. Rooms are very dated, halls smell like urine and the air conditioner is a wall unit and will not cool the whole room is not big enough. The room was very hot

This hotel is very poorly maintained. The room smelled of raw sewage. The ceilings and carpets were stained. Wood railings and other wood surfaces are in dire need of paint. I would not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone.

After arriving at the Swiss Chalet for our long awaited "girls trip", we were a little dissapointed. The online pics were very deceiving and we were severly overcharged (the marquee stated $69/night- we paid $120 online for the same room). Dispite an uninviting first impression, we vowed to give the place a shot. We got into our room, sat down on the bed and it collapsed! We reported the incedent, and after examination by the maininence man, we were given another room. Aside from a few roaches, the room was tolerable. Next we headed out for a relaxing soak. Of course the hot tub was broken and the pool was about a foot shy of being full, with water dripping into it from a leak in the ceiling. We opted for the outdoors after that. That being said, if you get a room on the backside of the hotel, on the top floor, the view from your window is quite beautiful, just don't turn around
