I've seen better, I've seen worse
By Jennifer, 08/23/09
My family and I stayed here while we were taking our 2 year old daughter to see the Wiggles at the Izod center. Our room was clean, beds were comfy, and the veiw was great! Down falls: You gotta pay to use the wireless internet: $10 a day. Also, our AC didn't work right, and our room was always hot. Room service is mad expensive! Upside: the pool looks sweet, and it is down the street from outlets, and the Izod center is 5 minutes away.

Would Recommend to Friend or Family

I am surprised to see the negative reviews. i just left there yesterday and stayed for 4 nights with my mom. it was a very pleasant experience. the hotel is well kept, clean, and in a safe neighborhood. it is actually in a boring area with NOTHING to do, but if you hop on NJ transit 129 it is about 20-60 minutes into New York City. for the price in the NYC area this place is good. it is not the ritz, nor is it a fleebag. it seems to be a basic business/tourist hotel. staff is decent with the exception of a guy named Adrian, he is very friendly and was always willing to help us. Overall our stay exceeded our expectations and we will stay there next time we go to the NYC area. If you want to be in the action, this is not the place to stay, there is nothing to do nearby or within walking distance. but if you dont want to pay $300/night in manhattan and dont mind a nice bus ride, save your $$$ for other things to do in NYC and stay here. Cons: Internet is not free ($10/day)

Think Twice before you Stay here
By Cheryl M, 10/12/08
The most pleasant part of our stay at this hotel were the 3 shuttle rides with Vincent, a very nice driver. Additionally, the room was cleaned daily and there was a coffee machine in the bathroom, with the traditional complimentary coffee. However, that is where the positive experiences ended, for us. Upon arrival at the train station, the pick-up stop for the 6-passenger shuttle/mini-van, we were told it would be up to 20 minutes as that is how often the shuttles run and we should wait by the taxis. The shuttle does not stop where the taxis are. We were directed back and forth at the station, searching for the shuttle, by the staff of the hotel giving direction over the phone. Upon arrival at the hotel we learned that our room was not ready. Ours was not the only room not ready. By 4:00 there were quite a few groups in the lobby waiting for rooms. No coffee or other item was offered while we waited beyond the designated check-in time. We went to the bar to get something to eat and the server there was busy with the one other customer in the bar and after around 30 minutes we finally got our food. It was adequate for the price, but by far the most expensive for the lowest quality that we had on our trip. We had expected to be able to use the Internet, but there is extra cost, of course, for that. There is extra cost for everything we tried to access while at the hotel, although the pool was closed since it was the wrong season and we didn't try anything beyond the shuttle and Internet. The cable TV only includes about 10 stations, although I'm not certain of the actual number. While waiting to check in another customer asked for a ride to the train station and was offered taxi service. I suggested the shuttle since the staff of the hotel didn't offer it to her and was rudely told the shuttle only ran every 20 minutes and that we, and the other customer, should use the taxi. The reason for that became clear as we tried to go places. The shuttle is a mini-van which seats 6 passengers at best, and with crowding. It will only make trips every 20 minutes even if there are people waiting. And there is only 1 at a time. That meant that we ended up waiting for the shuttle, not once at a time, but actually for it to make a full round trip, before we were even able to board it most of the time. All in all, you pay less to stay at this hotel, but the frustration from staying there, in my opinion, does not justify the additional cost. If you only plan to use a hotel to sleep, you'd be fine staying here. If you want your hotel experience to be a happy part of your visit, I suggest you search for a different hotel. I would never send a friend or acquaintance to stay at this hotel.

Use Their Limo Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/28/07
The limo service that was there was great. Josie's Limo Service. The drivers were nice courtous, helpful, polite and full of valuable information. The problem reported prevously may not be the fault of the driver. The driver does what he is informed to do, when he receives the call for service.

not conveinant for a show...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/12/07
i chose this hotel because their website advertised 1 mile from giant stadium, and they offered complimentary shuttle service too and from the stadium. not true... i recently attended the police concert and they had no service to the show. the staff did not even know there was a concert going on and informed me it was a sunday and they don't have anyone working the shuttle. they also have a scam with 1 taxi service- josie's or somthing like that- i was told $15 when they called the cab for me, when he arrived he said" oh your going to the show" that will be $20 one way (less than 1 mile)- however, dont recommend trying to walk it- dangerous highways- room was clean, remote didnt work tv, breakfast was good but pricey. staff seemed disinterested with their job. the sheraton nearby seemed freindlier. and offered various cab choices. wont stay there again. not very proffessional.

Do not use their limo service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/07
The hotel was great although outdoor pool water freezing on a hot day. Do not trust Josie's Limo service to pick you up after a Giants' event. We waited two hours after Live Earth and they never came.

Star-studded service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/07
We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Meadowlands for a Fangoria convention where we received a discounted rate (major plus!). The Hotel provided us with unlimited private shuttle service to the NJ Transit Station. (10 mins) away. This alone saved us lots of money for cab rides. They also provided shuttle rides to the Harmon Plaza (10 mins away) which had tons of restuarants. (Red Lobster, Chilis, Pizzeria Uno). The Staff were hospitable and extremely friendly. Overall it was an amazing time! The hotel to New York City is a fairly short ride (10-15 mins). Great location, awesome service, highly recommend) The only con - it took forever to get someone on the phone to make a reservation.

Horrible Hotel!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/29/05
I stayed at this hotel last weekend, in town for a convention. The front desk staff, was not friendly, did not know what they were doing, tried to charge my credit card TWICE!!! The elevator was also not working right, you think that they would have it fixed knowing there was going to be a convention.
