Hotel is good but not the travel(shuttle) service
By Binu, 08/17/09
The stay in this hotel was very pleasant and the staff was also very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was with the travel service who was rude in talking. They cancelled a shuttle too since there were not enough people and asked to pay extra for making the trip (note that that payment was already done). When refused to pay extra they cancelled and gave only 50% money back. We also had a racist experience from one of the drivers where we were not allowed to get into the shuttle until other guests entered. The best way to travel is to get a cab. You can talk to the receptionist and they will be glad to get you in touch with a cab. This way you can decide when you want to travel instead of waiting for the shuttle and also it turned out to be cheaper if you are a group.

Easy to get into NYC
By Laura, 06/28/08
The staff was friendly and helpful. It's close to NYC. It was nice having someone drive you into town and pick you up. The earliest they go into town is 8:00am. and the latest you can be picked up is 10:00pm- this could be inconvenient for some people. The rooms were older and a little on the small side. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. I don't think it's in the best part of town. You don't pay for parking your vehicle. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel at good price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/18/07
The hotel is nice and clean. The staffs were nice and helpful. I book there at least twice a year. Highly re commanded. Without traffic, it's about 15 minutes from Chinatown.

Happy with Days Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/09/07
Liked - clean, comfortable, good location Hint - They tell you they have a shuttle, but charge at least $5 / person, and they only run hourly. If you walk up to the Super 8 (maybe 2 blocks, ask them how to get there, they have a map) a white van stops there and takes you to Times Square for $2. (look for a white van that says "New York" on the front). They run every 5 minutes (6AM - 10:30 PM) and to get back, you go to gate 51 at the Port Authority ,and there's always a van sitting there waiting for you. It's cheaper, more convenient and comfortable. You can also take the city bus (the front desk gives you directions) but you have to walk all the way up to Toys R US (twice as far as the Super 8) and the bus only runs every 20 minutes or so. We liked the Days Inn, but the transportation was so much better from the Super 8, though the room was not as nice.

Good Manhattan alternative.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/01/06
Easy parking, clean, fairly close to the city. We left a coat in the room and called 3 days later. They nicely packaged it up to return to us.

very bad.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/05
On Sunday November 13th I called up for information. I wanted to know if you have facilities to accomodate a family coming from Washington D.C. with four children. I asked the recepcionist if they had a big suit to accomodate this family. She sounded as she was lazy to speak, I had to pull out the information, and still didn't get it. She did not volunteer to offer any information, so I gave up. I called Confort inn in Edgewater and the recepcionist was very pleasant and willing to help. She gave me different options, and I made the reservations.

Great clean place to stay
By Robert, 05/20/05
I found the hotel very clean. The rooms are clean and bright. Great access to New Jersey or New York. Resturant on the 12th floor very loud if there is a private party. Loved the small breakfast area and the help were the best.

A stone throw away from the Big Apple
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/17/05
The hotel is in New Jersey right next to New York linked by Lincoln tunnel. We stayed for 5 nights and took community buses (frequent mini-buses you can stop by roadside) to New York Port Authority station (off-peak journey 10 minutes). One way journey costs $2 and buses run until about 10pm (after that get NY transit bus, but taxi costs about $40 because it's inter-state). The staff were friendly and helpful and they won't try to make you use their shuttle bus (costs $5 and infrequent). The room was clean with a big TV. We really enjoyed our stay here. Considering Manhattan hotels costing few times more this is a convenient location at a good price. (We stayed in March and bought a package holiday)

stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/02/04
I frequent the ny area often and this hotel is the most affordable I have found. I ventured out and wanted a more lucrative stay so decided to stay in manhattan. Payed a fortune and stayed in a box with a t.v. it was horrible. sorry I ventured out but I am back.
