The Hanover Inn, Hanover

First time stay..and no I don't know anybody from the hotel!!but I would make a great proffesional reviewer.Yes it's true. First if you are a cheap person looking for a cheap place..you don't belong and shouldn,t. First off if you have stayed anywhere you would know hotels in this price range are fair to good..this is great so that already makes it ok.The location & surrounding shops are superb..they attract the kind of people you don't mind sharing the sidewalk with.Every inch of this hotel is about quality & service.It's so quaint you might decide to live there.The rooms are well appointed..bathrooms excellent(my pet peeve)& the service prompt and genuine friendly.The night I stayed after a wonderful dinner nearby...we sat on rockers on a beautiful porch traffic /people watching only to retire to a large canope bed with extra pillows..how nice.I can only imagine what the other seasons would be like.Anytime would seem to be excellent.Don't look at this hotel as simply a place to bed down..but a place to treat yourself how you should.Yes the web-site will never reflect any of this..it's a shame. My only other suggestion would be to get a corner room..as I did have.Ask yourself the simple question..how many places have you ever stayed that you can't wait to go back too?? MAG/Boston

It has a quaint and old-worldly charm. Very homely too. There is something about this place that makes you want to come back again. Even the staff is extremely friendly. It was fun to watch them dressed up in Halloween gear when the festival was on.

The Hanover Inn provides very good lodging. They are, however, overpriced for the facility and the amenities offered. Their website is prehistoric and lacks the most basic of features. I would stay there again, but a competent management could do a lot better with minimal effort. A captive audience definitely helps this property.

I think it's a bit over priced. I've stayed here numberous times and will continue to do so. The rooms are well decorated, clean and comfortable. The food is very good and it's in a great location. I recommend eating breakfast at Lou's..fantastic food!

We enjoyed our stay in April. Our double room faced the Dartmouth Green and was very comfortable and clean. If you are visiting Dartmouth, it's THE place to stay.
