Lord Hampshire Motel & Cottages, Winnisquam

Stayed here last year on a visit to Tilton outlets. Hotel room ok, pretty view of the lake. Tried to make reservations this year (three weeks in advance ) and they refused to honor the prices on their own web site. Told me those rates were "old rates" even though they are posted as "2009 rates". I made the reservations to hold the room & told them I would double check w/ the other person I was going with to see if the price increase was ok and that I would call right back. I called back w/in 30 minutes to say that we would NOT take the room, I was told that they had ALREADY charged my room, and IF they could, they would cancel the reservation BUT I would be charged a $25.00 cancellation fee!! FOR a reservation they had had all of 1/2 an hour! There is NO disclosure of the immediate room charge, NOR the cancellation fee on the web site. When I expressed my displeasure over their practices, stating that I would NEVER use them again and would certainly NOT reccommend them, He told me, that was fine and hung up! Stayed there for valentines day. The rooms are clean and quiet, staff was very curtious and could not get over the spectacular view of the lake. We'll be back in the summer for sure!

I used to work there back in 2005 and loved it! the people were great and the scenery was beautiful the lake was awesome to swim you just felt like you was at home. I had some awesome workers I worked with I miss being there and would go back in a heart beat if they needed me. I busted my butt there but it was all worth it. by Pam

My husband and I went there for labor day weekend. needless to say we used to get cabin #11 with the screen porch overlooking lake now they sold cabins they are privately owned. We took a King bed room suite but the bed was so Hard that my leg muscles and neck and back kill me. we left 1st thing Mon Morn. Needless to say View overgrown with brush & trees they should removed for the view couldn't get fireplace to work. and the jacuzzi tub whoever is the house cleaner really needs to scrub the jets and wash it! I think that they just spray it then wipe. the new shower is already growing mold. I'm really disapointed in the whole trip.

I loved the suite with fire place and the full view of the lake. The rooms were clean, the rates were great. I enjoyed my stay in the warm weather and in the winter.

Staff was extremely curtious. Made reservations at the last minute and got a 1-bedromm cottage ON THE LAKE!!!! Very clean. Appears to be recently updated. Would deinitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the Winnisquam/Winnipesaukee area.

i used to work there and met alot of good people who stayed there as guests..nice hotel rooms on the lake for the most part..wish i used the hot tub room when i was an employee there-estupido mamacita ayyyyy

We needed a place to stay so we could attend the Nascar events in July. I was lucky enough to find this place. It is within 25 minutes of the race track and very comfortable. It was somewhat of a home away from home .... so much so that we didn't want to leave when the time came. We reserved our cottage for next year before we left and are looking very forward to going back!

The motel has been renovated since last time I was there. It was very clean and the staff was nice and helpful. The price was very resonable.

I love the people that work there! They are so nice and really do go out of their way to help.The rooms are brand new, the person that decorated did a wonderful job. The view is outstanding and down by the deck and swimming area you really did feel like you are in another world all together. Me and my husband would go back in a heart beat, as a matter of fact we booked for our next holiday before we even left!
