"TOP NOTCH!"
By James, 8/6/11
We booked a cabin for a weeks stay here. It was great! The cabin was located directly on the water and newly remodeled. It was particularly hot the day we checked in. We had been driving all day and upon arrival the a/c was already turned on for us so that was nice. Housekeeping was very helpful, changing the trash each day as well as making the beds and replenishing towels. Overall the staff was very helpful. During the day we enjoyed kayaking around the lake, relaxing on the sundeck and bbq's with friends and family at night. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Great Location and Incredilbe Staff!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/18/10
My wife and I stayed there this October for a trip up to the Lakes region to look at the foliage. It was one of the best places we've ever stayed in. The rooms were clean and quiet and the staff was more than helpful. They were very knowledgable about the area. Our beds were made every day, trash taken out and fresh linens brought in. The property is maintained very well. We actually stayed here about ten years ago. We decided to try it again. They have made tons of improvements. There all privately owned condos now but it still runs the same way it did in the past, just better. We had the pleasure of meeting a couple of the owners who were very nice. We ate dinner with them on the sundeck Sunday afternoon. Needless to say, its a great place and we will be back next year!

OVERRATED!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/10
The room was just nice. Other than that, the deck was small and the "beachfront" even smaller. Don't plan to swim or fish unless you have your own boat to go onto the lake. All rooms and cottages are privately owned, Strict rules for "guests", but not for owners (no pets or smoking for guests, but okay for owners). Amenities are pretty much commandered by the owners, including the deck. Left us with no way of enjoying property. It felt like we were crashing someone else's vacation. No real management. Kids running wild and unsupervised.

We had a blast!
By Ryan, 6/3/10
The staff were very friendly and curteous. The room we stayed in was very clean and quiet. I don't know if you could get it any cleaner. Views of the lake from the room were great. It was less than ten feet or so off the water. The property is cared for very well. We just wish we didn't have to leave so soon!!

Memorial Day Weekend Was A Blast!!!!
By Nicky, 6/3/10
We booked this place sight unseen and were amazed at how nice it was! We stayed in a cottage that was right on the water. The gentleman at the front desk as well as the rest of the staff were very curtious and helpful. We enjoyed relaxing by the sundeck for most of our afternoons. The property as a whole is very well maintained and from what the gentleman told us they are condos now. The unit was immaculate. Not one thing out of place. We enjoyed grilling at the BBQ pit and took advantage of the hot tub as well. The gameroom kept our kids plenty busy. We'll be back this summer!!!! I would definitely recommend to anybody!!! Thanks LH for a memorable experience

Loved it there...
By Mike Last NameC., 3/4/10
We stayed in one of the cottages. It was clean, fresh and completely updated (it even had a dishwasher!) and..boy...what a view of the lake! The cottage faces the east, which offered spectacular sunrises right at our doorstep. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, accommodating every request we made. We've stayed at other places in the Lakes Region before and, thus far, have not found as good a value. Most likely, our search is over and we will be regulars at Lord Hampshire. We highly recommend it.

Miss the cabins rentals
By Diane, 9/1/08
My husband and I went there for labor day weekend. needless to say we used to get cabin #11 with the screen porch overlooking lake now they sold cabins they are privately owned. We took a King bed room suite but the bed was so Hard that my leg muscles and neck and back kill me. we left 1st thing Mon Morn. Needless to say View overgrown with brush & trees they should removed for the view couldn't get fireplace to work. and the jacuzzi tub whoever is the house cleaner really needs to scrub the jets and wash it! I think that they just spray it then wipe. the new shower is already growing mold. I'm really disapointed in the whole trip.
