Should be called Rodent way Inn
I went here on July 5, 2007. We needed to a place to stay. I was with my inlaws, with my wife and child. When we drove up, just by looking at it, I knew it was a dump. Place had a smell, we could not find another place to stay because maine tourist office had closed early and they could not provide good information for lodging. Well we walked in and it smelled like mildew. Got to our rooms and oh golly, they were nasty. I slept in my clothes. My inlaws found two bottles of beer in their refrigerator. Bathrooms were nasty, wall next to toilet was yellow due to the pee stains. Shower did not drain right and the shower when turned on came out like a waterhose. I have stayed in a number of hotels and this is the nastiest I have ever been in. Bugs crawling, it was gross. Thank goodness it was one night. The breakfast was nasty. When we left and on our way up to Portland, Maine. My wife said, oh no, I forgot my earrings. We had only been gone from the hotel for 15 minutes. I advised her to turn around, but my wife called instead and told them. I advised my wife, I would turn around because they will keep the earrings. She stated "Oh no they would not do that!" Well after our whole day in Portland, we had to come back to the rat hole to get the earrings. My wife spoke to the office and the guy had not went down to get her earrings like he said he would. He took her down to the room and the room had been clean and guess what, no earrings. I told her, they would not be there when she came back. They were inexpensive, but I had gotten them for her as a gift. I think nobody should stay here, this place should be closed down by the health department, it had major health violations. Stay way from this one, trust me!
