Funky! Loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/06
Loved the "oldness" of this place. If you don't like 'funky' or 'old' stay away. If you don't like loud, fun, casinos, stay away. If you like attitude and atmosphere, this is your place. Great breakfast! Comfy clean rooms, service with a good attitude! Not a five star but definately worth a visit.

Excellent Service, I'll be back!
By John, 05/10/06
Great location. We were treated wonderfully after arriving a day late for our reservations. They even "comp'd" us a day! Great for adults and kids alike with arcade and a casino. We intend to visit again soon. Kudo's to the excellent staff. --Albert and Deana Cole

Needs air conditioning!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/07/06
Spent the most miserable night trying to sleep. They give you a FAN in a very small, very hot room. Casino needs payment by ticket, payouts take forever. Saving grace is an excellent dinner restaurant and of course the location. Do not stay in the annex, you won't sleep.

Nice hotel/casino
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/13/05
Our stay at the Biltmore was nice. The service was great! We particularly apprecciated the hot breakfast that was included with the room. Our only complaint was that it felt like they put more money into the casino than into the rooms. When the winter winds kicked up our room was a little drafty, but otherwise it was a nice place to stay.

Great package deal
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/03/05
I have to say that this was a great deal. Yes it's not the fanciest (it's old) and it can be a bit loud (it's a casino), but it was well worth the money we paid. If I had gone by the reviews I had read I wouldn't have stayed here. The rooms were comfortable and clean. It's not a first class hotel, but then again your not paying for such (I've paid more and gotten less at some of the leading hotel chains). The location to the ski slopes was fantastic. It was central to everything, including Reno, which we found very much to our liking. We also received complimentary breakfasts that were quite good, with a menu that would cater to most, and quality that was better than expected. This hotel would be better suited for someone who doesn't mind the smoke as it seems to get into the ventilation system (noticed even in our non-smoking room), but it worked well for what we wanted. We felt safe and secure here. I would stay here again even though I'm a very NON smoker.

Not bad for the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/30/05
My wife and I stayed here over Easter weekend and had a great time. The room wasn't anything special, but it was really clean and had all the necessary amenities. The staff was really nice and accommodating and the casino floor was ample and pretty airy; not too much smoke. Definitely a good place for those that don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a hotel room. Plus you get free breakfast for each night you stay.

Probably won't be staying here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/21/05
The location of the hotel was good for what we were looking for, but the service left a little to be desired. We found a broken light bulb, a paper towel, and a dollar bill (??) in our light fixture and the maid service didn't even change the towels after our first night. We requested a non-smoking room and were told that they had nothing for us even though the hotel was nowhere near capacity. If it weren't for the fact that we got a good deal on the place, I would have been far more upset with our choice in hotels.

Horrible Experience!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/07/04
Not only was I told this was within walking distance from the casinos in South Shore but the hotel was ditry. The only heat was an extreamly old furnance, I was affraid to use for fear of fire! I did not feel safe and was not able to go to sleep. The window in the bathroom would not lock, plus the bathroom was so horrible I didn't even take a shower for fear of catching something. The room was not insulated I could hear the rooms next to mine and above my room. I was told I could not get a refund or adjustment for the inconvience!! Never let anyone go there!!!!
