Red Lion Inn and Casino Elko, Elko

Customer service is non existant here. Check in was a total nightmare. The wifi at this place is worse than what I had in Afghanistan. The non smoking rooms stunk like a dirty ashtray. Do not use the in house restaurant unless you want to spend time in the bathroom ( buffet food was cold ) oh and make sure you check for bed bugs I got tore up by them and was told by the hotel manager that I must have " Brought them with me " of course I always carry parasites with me to enjoy the fun of the bites. Pretty sure you would have a better stay at some crack house than you would in this dump.

We made the junket flights 8 times over 5 year period. The plane from Central Texas was always full. People came from all over the states and it was a nice trip to take. We won many times and made side trips to the Ruby Mtns and Lamoille Canyon. Over the years we made many friends and lots of good memories. It is just too expensive to fly there on commercial airlines. Wish Casino Express would be reborn and I know many customers would come back.

In December, we were on our way to Texas via I-80 from California and got stuck in one of the worst winter storms in decades. We were about 50 miles east of Elko and just watched too many accidents. We had cell service and booked a room on-line and turned around. We ended up spending four days there and the service was great and the rooms very clean and the casino handy. Most importantly, they plowed the snow every day, which was more than the city did on the adjacent avenues. If you travel in the winter, this is a great place to be stuck.

I have stayed here multiple times, and the rooms are wonderful. Very modern, clean, and comfortable.

The waitress took it upon herself to add a $40.00 tip onto my credit card. I left her a 20% tip in cash, which I think was too much anyway. The service was slow and the food was very over priced and tasted terrible. I called the resturant to find out why I was charged the $40.00 and all I got was a run around. I was tranferred several times and told that I would get a call back from a manager. Of course no call. I had to keep calling and finally I did get through to accounting. They researched my complaint and noticed that the waitress did add the $40.00 on the bill after I signed off on it. I was told that a refund had been issued and that managment will be notified.

We flew out of Beaumont, Texas and the trip was almost free. Great rooms and casino. We had a free concert from the Drifters. We won over $500.00 on the trip. Took sight seeing trips to the mountains. Plus we had a fun time at the cat houses. It's my kind of town.

WHEN WE LIVED IN WASH WE WENT THERE SO MANY TIMES ........FLEW OUT OF PORTLAND OREGON . WE ALWAYS HAD A GOOD TIME AND THE ROOMS WERE SUPER .ALWAYS WON MONEY ........... I NOW LIVE IN CALIF AND I AM A WIDOW ........BUT I STILL REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES MY HUSBAND AND I HAD THERE ..WE WENT THERE FOR XMAS TWO OR THREE YRS AND STAYED 3 DAYS ........................ BUT AT THE PRICE OF FUEL I KNOW THEY CANT AND WONT EVER DO IT AGAIN ............ITS TOO BAD .....PEOPLE CAME FROM EVERYWHERE ....... SO SAD ...........IT WAS ALWAYS A GOOD TIME FOR US .......MANY GOOD MEMORIES

To bad things change . Casino Express was a wonderful opertunity while it lasted . Elko was a nice change over Vegas . The Red Lion Inn was just a average facility but still nice in its own way . Best part of my stays was the 24 hour low stake stud game they always had . Loved the museum downtown . Sad to hear about the Earthquake . Without the flights its just to difficult and expensive to get to that part of the State from the Midwest . I will miss it as most people who experienced this unique marketing ploy that existed once upon a time . Laughlin is a nice 3 star alternative .

I was there a few days on a business trip. Everyone was great. The room had probably the most comfortable king bed I've ever slept in. I would highly recommend it if you are in that area.

I live in Ohio and the casino sent planes here to pick us up. They quit doing that and we were very disappointed. We loved it there.
