Unbelievably terrible!!
The only reason I stayed at The Flamingo was because of the Donny & Marie show. I was traveling with six friends for my milestone birthday and I wanted convenience. I believe we all wished we stayed somewhere else. 1. It started with check-in. I had made two room reservations, but they told me I only had one reservation. They were not willing to give me the second room at the price booked it at, without some negotiating on my part. The rooms are average, and, the lighting is horrible and dim. There is plenty of wall space in the room, but there are not enough mirrors, especially with several in a room, trying to get ready. 2. POOL: We were able to get 7 lounge chairs at the pool at 10 am. We were happy to learn that drinks were only $5, with one little blip that we didn't learn until we ordered our second drink. After 11 am, drinks went up to $15/drink. The bartender, ROCK, was rude and arrogant, acting as if we should've known. Needless to say, we didn't drink anymore. Bags and room key was checked at the entrance of the pool, so we couldn't bring in our own. Not even water. 3. POOL: All of the lounges, including the cabanas, had reserved signs on them. The entire time we were at the pool, about 5 hours, NONE of them had been used or taken. 4. The pool closed at 6:00 pm. We, and I'm sure other guests, would like to use the pool and/or jacuzzi after dinner, at tleast until 10, like most hotels. 5. ROOM SERVICE: Although I did not use room service, the guests prior to us did, and their wine glass and food tray was on the hallway floor the entire time we were there, 2 nights. 6. HOUSEKEEPING: We did not have conditioner in our bathroom. We asked the house-lady who was in the hallway for some, and she said there wasn't any, that the conditioner is in the shampoo. I then called Housekeeping, and they brought up conditioner. 7. SUGGESTIONS: a. Coffee pots and small refrigerators in room. b. this hotel needs a refresher course on Customer Service.
