Worst customer service in the industry
By jamesbkeyes, 12/18/09
Stayed there on a holiday special. New Years Eve. Hotel made zero attempt to evict drunk frat partiers on my floor at all hours of the night. Hotel offered not an apology, and even after I complained to the corporate office, their response was that they did all they could do. I would have been satisfied with a believable apology, a free breakfast coupon, a discount on a return visit. Most other responsible hotel chains actually care about customers having poor experiences at their properties. Bad hotel, noisy, in need of updating. Not worth the money ($120+ for a noisy room). Stay away. Try the Omaha Hilton, Embassy Suites or Courtyard Marriott. Much nicer, much friendlier.

Incredibly average
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/30/09
On balance, this is a very average hotel. The location is good for meetings in downtown Omaha, even though much of the downtown area is empty. The food for our group meetings tasted ok, but nobody was paying attention to small details, like ensuring the steam trays were, in fact, heated, and the food was cold. The rooms are old but generally ok. Nice bedsheets and pillows, but bedbugs, fleas and mites are a bit of a turnoff. The price is a good feature.

OK hotel for the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/03/08
This is an OK hotel for the money, but it is very dated and could use some updates. Our room was probably nice back in 85, but not as much now. Cleanliness wasn't as good as I've seen other places as well, but for the money it's ok. The staff seem helpful as well. You're about a 6 block walk from Old Market too, so that's manageable.

Security was our only issue...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/21/08
This hotel was very nice, the rooms were nice and clean and the staff was VERY helpful and most of the time friendly. The refrigerator did not work at all and the toilet had to be repaired twice. Our MAIN issue was security. There was a HUGE brawl one night and it kept half the hotel up for most of the night. I realize this is not the hotels fault, except all the doors that said they would be locked after a certain time were never locked. We came in several times after the appointed time to unlocked door, not the safest feeling. After this incident I did not feel as safe as I did before but the hotel staff did go out of their way to be helpful when we needed them.

Big Hotel...Needs some work
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/07
Older hotel with some new pillows and fluffy comforters to give it a "Doubletree Bed". Small bathrooms with only one sink. Late 70's dressers with only 2 drawers. Great staff in the gift shop. The morning girl was always very cheerfull. No food for late nighters. Traveling with a sports team and rarely got back before the restaurant closed at 9pm. The bar menu seemed to get smaller every night with only chicken tenders or a salad. Not much variety. Thank goodness some of the local sub-shops delivered...we did not rent a car as everything was supposed to be walking distance...8-10 blocks at 10pm is a little scary with kids and the shuttle only seemed to be available at for very limited hours. Overall...better than a motel next time will stay somewhere else and rent a car.

DoubleTired
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/17/07
Tired hotel with some attempt to cover up the 1970's infrastructure. Very friendly staff cannot make up for the old tired hotel underneath. Carpets semi-clean, hotel had some odd smells. The room does not have guest-controlled temp. I was there in mid-march 2007 and the room was very hot. When I called, they gave me a spiel on the phone about how the heat is all on for the season or all off. They offered to send up a fan (standard protocol). Fan arrived, no place to plug in. Once we unplugged some lights, we found it was broken. Did I mention it was filthy? An hour later another fan arrived. The bed was quite comfortable, but I was happy when arrived and I was able to check out. p.s. great cookie for dessert.

misery on the misouri
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/30/06
Our reservation for an "executive suite" made directly with the hotel was not honoured, when asked why ,the desk manager said"how shall I put this" then dissapeard. We were then offerd a "standard double" at full price with a lovely view of a construction site.If visiting for downtown business or a convention you may find the location appealing, however on weekends the area is lifeless with no services resturant or entertainment options outside the hotel. My stay was a mistake I shall not repeat.

Excellent Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/06
I stayed one night at this hotel bringing with me 20 children. And I must say everything about this hotel was great! the rooms were clean, the beds were very soft, and the hotel staff was able to answer any and all questions I brought their way. the pool was great as well, although it was a little on the cold side. It would've been nice if there would've been a hottub as well. the only other dislike I would say would be the channel selection in the room, could've had more channels, but again i would definately reccommend this hotel to anyone, And I will definately be back again.
