Don't Go!!
By Kevin, 3/26/12
Horrible customer service!! Lied to by the staff! Do NOT give your business to a hotel as unresponsive, unethical, and completely callous as this one.

Below Average for a Hilton property
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/28/11
Don't stay here unless you like to be constantly awakened by the A/C turning on and off... no constant fan; no way to shut it completely off. You get ZERO control of it. Hotel is older, and the rooms are not updated. No wireless internet. Old rear-projection TV with an extremely limited channel selection; half of them are ESPN variations. Come on, guys - it's 2011! Pool room is blazing hot. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Hampton Inn less than a mile north of here - it's a MUCH better hotel. By far the worst Doubletree I've stayed at. Hilton should be ashamed to lend their name to this place.

Pet Friendly and Easy
By Eric, 6/18/11
Although this is located in the Downtown area and a close walk to many eateries. Things to think of before you stay here. If you vehicle is over 6 feet your parking on the street. I have stayed in many hotels around the US and I would rate this as a three star. Its clean yet an old building. You can see the age by the many coats of paint that have been used over the years on some of the walls.

Not thrilled
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/26/11
The room was not clean. When I arrived the trash basket in the room had not been emptied. There was hair on the bathroom vanity and the shampoo that was there was opened and left from previous guest. Will not be staying at a DT anytime soon. I was disappointed to say the least considering this is a Hilton family hotel.

Worst experience in recent memory
By Jan DAngelo, 5/14/10
I am a seasoned world traveler who, up to this point, has never written a negative review on a property. The Doubletree Omaha gets the razzie award. Room thermostat set on eterna-cold. They shut it down and now I am living with a space heater, so they have no regulatory heat in the room. They charged $10 for wired internet in the room and the cord does not reach the bed (and the plug was broken). When I was ready to retire, I noticed that the tub was backed up with sewage, followed by a knock at the door to ask if I noticed that. The room now smells like a waste treatment plant. Then the outside door handle fell off because the set screw was loose. Don't ever stay here or any Doubletree property. The are much better choices, like Marriot.

Upgrade + Free Breakfast = Two Happy Customers
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/9/10
Our 2-room suite was apparently given away, the lady behind the counter seemed suprised we had reserved a suite and asked if we planned to use the in-room jacuzzi. Obviously, we said yes, of course, and we were immediately upgraded to a Presidential suite overlooking First National Plaza. The furnishings were older, but the room was expansive and comfortable. We also recieved free breakfast vouchers for our 2-day stay (the food would hardly have been worth the $12 price but tasted great for free!). They also make parking quick & painless with free vouchers to enter & exit as many times as needed for $7 a day.

Worst customer service in the industry
By jamesbkeyes, 12/18/09
Stayed there on a holiday special. New Years Eve. Hotel made zero attempt to evict drunk frat partiers on my floor at all hours of the night. Hotel offered not an apology, and even after I complained to the corporate office, their response was that they did all they could do. I would have been satisfied with a believable apology, a free breakfast coupon, a discount on a return visit. Most other responsible hotel chains actually care about customers having poor experiences at their properties. Bad hotel, noisy, in need of updating. Not worth the money ($120+ for a noisy room). Stay away. Try the Omaha Hilton, Embassy Suites or Courtyard Marriott. Much nicer, much friendlier.

Incredibly average
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/30/09
On balance, this is a very average hotel. The location is good for meetings in downtown Omaha, even though much of the downtown area is empty. The food for our group meetings tasted ok, but nobody was paying attention to small details, like ensuring the steam trays were, in fact, heated, and the food was cold. The rooms are old but generally ok. Nice bedsheets and pillows, but bedbugs, fleas and mites are a bit of a turnoff. The price is a good feature.

OK hotel for the money
By Shawnee, 10/3/08
This is an OK hotel for the money, but it is very dated and could use some updates. Our room was probably nice back in 85, but not as much now. Cleanliness wasn't as good as I've seen other places as well, but for the money it's ok. The staff seem helpful as well. You're about a 6 block walk from Old Market too, so that's manageable.

Security was our only issue...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/21/08
This hotel was very nice, the rooms were nice and clean and the staff was VERY helpful and most of the time friendly. The refrigerator did not work at all and the toilet had to be repaired twice. Our MAIN issue was security. There was a HUGE brawl one night and it kept half the hotel up for most of the night. I realize this is not the hotels fault, except all the doors that said they would be locked after a certain time were never locked. We came in several times after the appointed time to unlocked door, not the safest feeling. After this incident I did not feel as safe as I did before but the hotel staff did go out of their way to be helpful when we needed them.
