4 reviews for Candlelight Inn Scottsbluff, Scottsbluff
Western Hospitality, oldfashioned-style.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/19/08
The location is good; but the amenities are outstanding. The happy hour snacks are more like a meal and will readily suffice for anyone on a per diem. The morning breakfast is like something your Aunt Margaret used to make when you went to visit. Each room is almost overdone with a different character. The "teddy bear" room even has stuffed teddy bears on the toilet. Good books are kept in all rooms and the china cabinet in the pool side room has beautiful glassware in it --- unlocked, of course. They appear to know their clientele (Sid advised that most customers are repeats or related to people that have referred them to the Inn.) Two more gracious and accommodating individuals I have never met. I consider it a privilege to have to travel through Scottsbluff for this one reason.

The Candelight Inn is the place to be!
By ogala2554, 07/13/08
For me there was no possible bad thing about the hotel. There is alot of good things in that hotel and here are 5 things that are best about the hotel. The service is terrific! and when you stay there you can know that you're in good hands. The pool is always cleaned! It is the cleanest in Scottsbluff. The people are extremely friendly and flexible. They can help with any thing that you can possibly need! The breakfast is great! Why ruin your diet with some other greasy competetor food when you could eat healthy? And finally. Being the best hotel it is the first with a picture of Jesus that I have ever seen! That is what made it special for me and my family! So that is why it is the best hotel choice that you could ever possibly make! So to all who want to be in a hotel that is good food, tourism, and excelent food then this hotel is most definately the best place that you can go anywhere in Scottsbluff. I will be reviewing other hotels this year of 2008 and I will see all the things that either discust me or please me. So to all the other hotels in Scottsbluff be prepared to be reviewed!

Will stay again....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/07
Sure the front office area is a mess, an auditors nightmare. However, if you can dismis the clutter you can rest assured the service is top rate. The rooms are somewhat like going to your grandma's for the weekend, old stuff, but clean. The channel selection on the TV is more than adequate with about 60 or so channels, something for everyone. The complimentary breakfast is what makes this the perfect overnight hotel, Home Cooked with all the comfort foods, ie..Biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, and SERVICE..... I am a Platinum member with the Marriott Group, a Diamond member with the Hilton Group, and at least Gold level on several of the other major chains, so staying in Hotels is what I do. Give them a chance, relax and pretend you are at your Grandma's and enjoy your stay.

Don't Pick This One
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/05/07
What a disappoinment. After traveling all day to get here and looking forward to a nice swim in the pool, were we ever surprised. Front desk area was completely covered with clutter and a total mess. Clerk/Owner was friendly enough so we decided to give them a chance and look at our room. Room looked like it had not been updated since it was built in the 1960's. The odor in the room was 10 times worse than the looks and decor of the room. I could not get to front office fast enough to let them know we would not be staying here. There are several nice NEW hotels to stay at in Scottsbluff for the same or a little bit more money. We ended up at the Hampton Inn right up the street and could not have had a nicer stay. Don't pick this hotel, stay anywhere else.
