Best Western White House Inn, Bellevue

When my Mother and I went up a few years ago for a reunion we ended up staying here by accident- because I had made the hotel arrangements for July instead of June! Oops. All was well, though, because this place not only had nice rooms, but great service! And they had very understanding staff who helped us out tremendously!

If you have to stay somewhere near Offutt AFB, this is about as good as it gets for Bellevue. Service desk folks are friendly, place is kept pretty clean. It's within walking distance of Village Inn restaurant (sort of like Perkins). Nothing scenic about the area (view is mainly of parking lots or the busy road out front.) Easy access to other main routes. Have not tried exercise room. Free continental breakfast is nice (juice, bagels, donuts, toast, etc.) Mini library (bookshelf full of books) to borrow from is a plus. Each room is decorated with a theme for one of the former presidents. Lobby has one PC for free internet access, which is also good. (Computer is getting a bit outdated, and monitor probably needs replacing soon, but it works!) There are no major hotel chains around the AFB, and Bellevue is a city in decline, so don't expect much.

What a wonderful hotel! Very clean, the staff is courteous and helpful. Each room is about a president and there is a room upstairs with First Lady informatin. I will definitely stay there everytime I'm in the area.
