Southgate Inn, Missoula

The manager says she offers a special discount during the winter and was still offering it during our stay. She said that they are getting new carpets in this year and she will need to raise the rates next winter. But will still be very reasonable. Her staff was wonderful took care of getting us extra blankets and pillows.

We enjoyed our stay here very much except for one individual who seemed to not know how to dress or act appropriately in the pool area, especially when there are young children and other guests present. The manager (Kerry?) did however handle the situation in a positive and professional manner. We later learned that this person was a monthly customer and we hope that on our return in July this problem doesn't arise again. Great continental breakfast assortment also.

We have been coming to the Southgate Inn for a few years the staff is wonderful. The breakfast has such a variety to choose from. The pool goes up to 8 ft. and is heated very nice too bad it's not enclosed to be enjoyed year round. They allow pets with a nightly fee. Some motels wouldn't take our cat. That's how we found the Southgate another motel told us that this motel took cats, and have been coming back since. With our son going to the university has been very inexpensive to come visit him every few months. We love it here we think the manager is great and when ever we make our reservations we call and talk to her to let her know we are coming back. She has always looked out for us even before she became the manager.

the room was clean, the staff was very friendly and courteous. Their selection of items on their continental breakfast was amazing. Very nice hot-tub and very close to all interest points. We stayed at the Olympia Inn in Olympia Washington some time ago and cannot believe that the same owners own this motel. We can only hope that this place does not turn out the same way as that place. The rooms were filthy and the staff very discourteous to work with at the Olympia Wa. establishment. Kudos to the Southgate staff

The room was clean and spacious for a hotel room. You have the option of renting a dorm size refrigerator if needed. The whirlpool was a special touch. Although I did not personally use the exercise room, the equipment looked new and in good working order. Staff is friendly and courteous. The continental breakfast offered an assortment of breads, to include french toast. Oatmeal and fruits were also available. Although it is on the road, you do not hear the traffic. I would recommend this facility to all who travel to Missoula.

We have been staying here for a couple of years and always had a pleasant stay. This last weekend one of our rooms had the bed made but the rest of the room was not cleaned (garbage was full, soap and shampoo used by previous customer),by the time our guests got to the room it was 11PM. We had to argue to get our money back on that room. Another guest got home and discovered her curling iron and blowdryer gone. She was told that who she was speaking to had cleaned the room and did not take it. There was no professionalism at all, They need to look at their help as it is going to start hurting their business. We have rented 1-5 rooms every time we go which is several times a year for the last two years. We won't be back.

the staff was wonderful from the girl who took our reservation. we called to inquire about rates one day & made the reservation the following day & she remembered what I had ask about the day before and I hadn't even given her my name. the cleaning staff was also great. the rate was very reasonable for the quality of room & service & the breakfast was awesome so many choices. I plan on coming back to this motel from now on. to the staff keep up the good work you were all wonderful.

We spent one night here and it was a great experience. We even were able to watch an excellent 4th of July fireworks display from our room! Our experience in Missoula is one of friendly people, beautiful scenery and it's a shame that we didn't have more time to spend here. We are glad to recommend Southgate to everyone.

Decent quality service, people were nice and welcoming. Receptinists were nice and helpful. Breakfast was as good as in a better rated inn. Room was clean and well maintained.
