1 reviews for Super Inn, Kansas City
Don't believe the website!
By Michele, 06/17/05
am not sure how long this hotel has been open but I don't think it has been long. First of all, it is NOT a Travelodge. It is actually a Super Inn. Second, they DO NOT have a working swimming pool. They state on the website it is one of the amenities however when I went there at the beginning of June it was not working, the front desk personnel told it was closed because it needed to be inspected by the city. WHAT?!? That is a little frightening. Third, and probably most important, they are not very clean. We showed up on a Friday because we were going to Worlds of Fun the next day and then staying on Saturday night as well, because we were going shopping on Sunday. Our room smelled like mildew. The bedspread was torn. The worst thing was that on the balcony there was a pile of dog pooh. Honestly, I don't know how long it had been there but past the time that it happened was too long. I left a note for the cleaning staff that it was out there. When we returned from WoF, the pooh was STILL there. In addition to that the 'cleaning' staff only made our bed and put in new soap, I used a towel and washcloth the night before, they folded them and put them back on the towel rack. I find that completely unbelievable. I have stayed at lots and lots of hotels over the years for several days, some pretty seedy ones as well, but I have never had such horrendous service! I implore you do not use this hotel!
