This Hotel is amazing, the rooms are a bit small, who cares. It is around the block from the Power and Light district. I live in Kansas CIty, and i have picked this hotel whenever I go out.

Small Rooms

This was a clean motel. The location is very good. The staff was very pleasant. The rooms are very very small. There is not much floor space available. Would not stay there again.

No Way Stay
By ,
When reserving our room we requested a roll away bed. Were even quoted an extra price for the service. When checking in we were VERY RUDELY informed by the manager that the hotel did not even have roll away bed. He then continued to tell us that he could get us a second room and quoted us a price higher than what we were paying for the first one! Also, the elevators were VERY noisy. They kept us up most of the night. They sounded like someone running up and down the hallway all night long. Worst hotel sleep I have ever had! Only good things I can say is it was clean and had wireless.

CHECK YOUR BILL - SHADY!
By ,
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Aladdin in Kansas city January 17th - 19th. Thanks to travelocity, I found out that there is a parking garage across the street where I can pay $12 a day. I used that. A week later I find a $30 charge on my credit card. I called on Monday January 26th and left a message with the Manager. No call back. I called again on the 28th. Spoke to a young woman who said she would PERSONALLY relay the message to the manager. Still no call back. Finally, I called again today and the person who took all three of my calls finally looked into it. They charged me a $30 parking fee. I DIDN'T EVEN PARK IN THEIR GARAGE! Ridiculous!!! She was the one that ended up reversing it. Why she didn't do it when I first called is beyond me. So I advise that if you stay there, CHECK YOUR BILL, these guys are shady.

Great place to stay!
By ,
I thought it was a great hotel! I really like the historic, older looking aspect of the outside of the building, but when you walked in it was very modern and nice. The staff was super friendly and I really enjoyed the glass of champange that was given to us at our check in. Nice touch. Very clean. Within walking distance of great restarants and entertainment. I would for sure go back and stay the night! Thanks to the staff for being so friendly!

Wotta shower!
By ,
First time I've showered in a hotel with a double-headed shower. Best shower I've had in a hotel, by far. Overall, a very fine experience for my family in our trip to see Kelly and Reba at the Sprint Center. (The buffet breakfast was also top-rank.

Love it!
By ,
My mom and I recently stayed at this hotel after the nutcracker for a fun girls night. We loved the hotel. The rooms are fun, hip and very trendy. They are completely redone although not very big. The staff was extremely helpful. I also thought that $13 for valet parking was cheap compared to other cities and hotels. For instance, St. Louis runs about $20. It is in an excellent location close to local bars and restaurants and the new Sprint arena. We had breakfast at the restaurant and found it to be the best breakfast we have had. We loved it so much, we are using it for a room block for our wedding.

RUN! This place is horrible!
By ,
We were booked here by the company I work for. Our stay was 5 nights. The room was very small. There was no fridge or microwave and there were no vending machines. You had to go down to the lobby to get a canned soft drink and they were $2 each. There was an office chair and a straight backed chair in the room and since there were two of us, it was very uncomfortable. There was no complimentary breakfast and you had to pay $13 per day for parking. I had arranged to check out at noon since my last meeting wasn't over till then and they started calling at 11 telling my husband we had to get out. One of the days we were there they didn't even replenish the towels. We asked for directions to nearby places to eat and after walking for blocks, we still haven't found them. I tried to find accommodations at another hotel after the first night but the city was booked up. If I ever go back to Kansas City, I'll be very sure that I DO NOT stay at the Alladin even it means driving across town or taking a bus to get to my meetings. What really bothered me was that when I was asked about my stay, they just blew off my comments with - "Well, this is a high end hotel". Traveler beware - if you're looking for a comfortable, reasonably priced place to stay, especially for an extended period of time - the Alladin is not it.
