Not Happy AT All
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/09
My family used the Sheraton Sports Complex for our family reunion, I was not pleased I paid $113.00 per night. There are no Queen sized beds, there was no refridgerator or Microwave in the room, I called the front desk to request a refridgerator, for an extra 10.00 dollars I got one and a roll away bed that I did not request. The toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor, maitenance came up and fixed that, we ask if he could look at the AC, he informed us that it was 107 degrees outside, he changed the filter and bought a box fan into the room. Not to mention that the elevators continued to break down my mother and several other elderly members of my family had to ride the freight elevator up from the lower level banquet rooms. For that kind of money paid per night, I am disapointed to say the least, I would not recommend anyone stay for this amount of money

Lord of the Flies
By Patrick P, 11/04/08
I normally stay at the Sheraton on the Plaza when in KC but my travel agent made a mistake. During the evening, I killed two flies and didn't think much of it. I woke early the next morning ( 5am) and proceeded to kill about 6 or 7 more. Since I was checking out that morning didn't see much sense in changing rooms. The AC unit was horribly loud. Not sure about you, but fly infestation is pretty disgusting. Even though the remodled the place recently, I'll never come back. Staff was friendly.

What a Wonderful Hotel
By Simone, 08/26/08
I can't believe half of these review. I think the Sheraton KC Sports Complex is one of Kansas City, MO highlights. The employees there are super friendly. Starting out with the reservationist who helped me book my stay. Down to the front desk clerk who checked me out. My room was very clean. The water resort was beautiful. All staff members were knowledgeable of the hotel. Overall my stay was wonderful. I plan to stay there some time in the near future.

worst stay ever at any hotel
By brad m, 08/24/08
I brought my 13 yr. old son for a birthday gift to see the Chiefs. The shuttle to the stadium was an hour late ,plus we had to walk 1/4 of a mile from P/U point to ride it back. Was placed on hold three times and hung up on twice. Then lied to about shuttles leaving time and location. We were comped by the hotel manager only to be charged a week later . We will defitnetly not be staying there ever again.

Horrible Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/08
We had 5 adults and one child with us on our stay; planned a family fun filled weekend and it was horrible. The TV did not work, the room was NOT cleaned, they person at the front desk said the water park closed at 9, when in fact it closed at 10 and we could have enjoyed more time there. They told us someone was coming to fix the TV and they never showed up. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. The front desk did not help us with most of our questions. The 1st floor, where we stayed, was HUMID because it was on the pool level. The room was hot all night long. Finally, our key would not work half the time and we had to wait over 30 minutes for someone to help us. The water park was fun, but we would NEVER stay at this hotel again.

What, No Sports Bar?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/16/08
Nice renovation, but it just mystifies me why a hotel across the road from Arrowhead and Kauffman Stadiums would not have a sports bar! Good grief, many of the people staying there are there for a game. Oh, well.

Beautiful Hotel
By BradT, 01/31/08
I can't believe the reviews - this hotel is gorgeus - flat screen HD tv's, internet lounge, nice restaurant and bar.Everything in the hotel is brand new - leather chairs, work desks and even granite shower walls. The Sheraton bed is awesome - would like to know how to buy one. I will definitely be staying here over the summer to go to baseball games. Thmbs up.

Run for your life!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/07
We had a terrible experience here. We requested a frig, they brought it after 4 phone calls and several hours. The AC was leaking water onto the floor creating a big wet spot on the carpets in both rooms. The ceiling tiles near the AC looked as if they had black mold on the inside (part of the tiles were broken down so we were able to see the inside). After one night of misery we asked to be moved. They sent us to the top floor. I must admit is was a step up from the room we were in (2nd floor). But still totally disappointing. The carpets are a disaster, huge spots and just dusty feeling. I must say...I know they are remolding, so I can give a little grace about the carpet and electrical outlets not working properly. The staff was generally friendly. The indoor pool was closed and the outdoor pool was green and then closed the following day. We all came home congested, coughing and feeling pretty tired. If we are not better soon I am following up with the doctor since the mold was so bad in our first room!

Mixed Review
By Matt, 07/11/07
Stayed their two years in a row on a week long trip to Kansas City. Not bad, but both times I had some complaints. Both years there was constructiona and renovation in progress. It wasn't really a problem, but you noticed it enough to be a hassle. (Renovation will continue until September of 07 at least.) The worst part was the second year. The blanket under the comforter was...what's the best way to put this... SPOTTY? And yes, I mean that like you think. Good think though, the front desk was disgusted as well, and sent up a new one immediately, with a thousand apologies offered. The staff was pretty good, but room service did skip our room one day. No COMPLIMENTARY breakfast, $1 for a muffin and $1 for an orange juice. Overall, stay here only if you must be close to the sports complex.
