4 reviews for Super 8 Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Center
Don't be tempted to stay here---even if the nightly rate is low ($40), not a good place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/12/07
I travel a lot, and I base my reviews on price compared to value. I also try to be accurate and this motel is very subpar (even for Super 8 "standards"). I usually don't feel unsafe on the road, but I did ask the clerk at check in if this was a safe place (of course, she said it was). Walking to my room the first night, I noticed the smell of Hannibus from one of the smoking rooms. The second night there was a police car patroling the motel's parking lot----seemed as if they were looking for something or somebody. The room was tiny---no cabinet for storage--hardly a place in the bathroom for a toiletries bag. The bed was also very old and soft---a burn hole in my first night's sheets. I wouldn't recommend anyone (who can afford a few $$ more a night) to stay here. There is an AmericInn across the street (that's where I'll stay the next time I'm in the north side of the Twin Cities).

Unhealthy environment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/06
Me and my family visited the Super 8 in brooklyn center. Found it to be smoked out. The tub was rusted with green mole around the ring portion of it. The towels need to be replaced, as well as the mat you step on when getting out of tub. The first level of hotel was smoked out tremendously. Everyone don't smoke, so it should be kept in certain far areas of the hotel or monitor the rooms closely. The breakfast was full of high carbs. Hopefully for the public health there will be improvements made. Price could of been slightly low, for these problems. You know how that goes for some of you. Good Night!

There were fleas all over our bed sheets and pillowcases! The next week I had flea bites all over my arms and legs!

We can't wait to go home!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/20/05
I enjoyed our stay at the Super 8 Motel, except the complimentary breakfast. We were there from friday til tuesday, the breakfast was almost always gone around 7am, the staff did not replenish anything, except coffe. The black strip on the keys gave out, that was an inconvience.I had to walk all the way around back to the front of the building to the lobby, twice because of this.
