Don't be tempted to stay here---even if the nightly rate is low ($40), not a good place to stay

I travel a lot, and I base my reviews on price compared to value. I also try to be accurate and this motel is very subpar (even for Super 8 "standards"). I usually don't feel unsafe on the road, but I did ask the clerk at check in if this was a safe place (of course, she said it was). Walking to my room the first night, I noticed the smell of Hannibus from one of the smoking rooms. The second night there was a police car patroling the motel's parking lot----seemed as if they were looking for something or somebody.
The room was tiny---no cabinet for storage--hardly a place in the bathroom for a toiletries bag. The bed was also very old and soft---a burn hole in my first night's sheets.
I wouldn't recommend anyone (who can afford a few $$ more a night) to stay here. There is an AmericInn across the street (that's where I'll stay the next time I'm in the north side of the Twin Cities).
