Great Spot for a Romantic Get Away!

My boyfriend and I spent the night at the St. James for our one year anniversary. I love historic places and this was the first historic hotel we had ever stayed in. It was exactly what we expected and had such a wonderful ambiance to it.
It was great to arrive and get Starbucks in their coffee shop, as well as have a few choices for dinner. We decided to eat at one of their restaurants "The Port" to celebrate.
We had a whirlpool suite and loved the bath salts they included as well as their choice of shampoo and conditioner. Usually nothing to write home about, just shampoo right? The brand they used was great. The bed was very comfortable and our room was spotless, we took many pictures of the room as well as their historic lobby.
The location was wonderful as you are able to walk to everything.
It is a little pricy, however, if you want to treat yourself, it is worth it!
As far as someone saying they thought it was a B&B, the hotel's website nor guidebooks ever gave that impression.
The only complaint I would have is in our room you could hear the pipes every now and then.
I would definitely stay there again and hopefully enjoy services from the spa they have!
