Country Inn Suites By Carlson St. Paul East MN, Woodbury

I had called the night before to make sure everything was set and when I called I was not pleased with the woman working the phones she answered my questions with the a reply or uh huh and or ya. I was not impressed. Secondly, in mid sentence she cut me off and put me on hold. "i" called back and the manager just apologized. When we arrived and got the keys and walked into our room.....it was the wrong room. I called front desk and his reasoning was "oh, we had people stay over into that type room and we moved you." He proceeded to tell me it would take a while and to hang tight and he would see what he could do. Finally we got the room we had booked and when we walked in it wasn't that clean. Decor was nothing more than stuff bought at the blue light special or local yard sales. Bedding looked like a knock off from the 70's. I was not impressed one bit. On top of all this there are NO elevators...tell me at 12am you want to carry a 30lb suite case up a flight of stairs. I sure was not happy. It was suppose to be a girls weekend traveling to a wedding. After a long day we 3 were ready to get some sleep and relax at the Country Inn. And it continued it be longer and longer....i will never stay at Country Inn and suites by Carlson. They take no pride.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Great pool and spa. Nice breakfast and good value.

rooms were generally clean, but the shower smelled like a locker room. Average to low end room decor. The restaurant lobby smelled awful, but the breakfast buffet selections were average. Great location for visiting friends in Woodbury

It was our first visit to the Country Inn in Woodbury. The front desk staff was marvelous, the breakfast yummy, a huge pool for swimming + whirlpool. The restaurant attached (Green Mill) had terrific pizza. We were completely impressed!
