Worst experience of my life, We had housekeeping (a man ) come into our and our daughters room without knocking at 8 am, Also we had hair on the towels and rooms really dirty, not 4 star only 2 star. Only good thing is the waiter in the restraunt was nice.

Horrible Service!
By ,
As soon as I walked in the door, the girls at the front desk were very rude to me. I had booked a room with a special package and they failed to give me the items I was suppost to receive. You are suppost to get a free parking pass and with the room I booked, I was suppost to get 2 free breakfasts. I had to go down to the front lobby several times and each time they were incosiderate and did not seem interested in helping me with my needs. The rooms were "updated" but had problems - the light did not work, the bathroom was outdated, the toilet broke and the lights kept flickering in the bathroom. Never go there! Plus they are over charging me on my account.

timing is everything

Got in on a value package, which was great! Nice hotel, good restaraunt, good location... The deal gave us a dollar toward any hotel service (food, drinks, shops, etc) for every dollar spent towards the room, plus an upgrade.

We would not stay here again.
By ,
We spent three nights in the Millennium during our daughter's wedding. Her reception was held in the Loring Ballroom of the hotel. With room reservations made a month in advance, we asked for a room with a king sized bed and instead recieved two full beds. We asked for a non-smoking room and recieved a room with ashtrays and cigarette burns in the carpet. The bathroom had a hole in the wall where a mirror was ripped out before. The staff in the Loring ballroom were rude. Plates were grabbed out from in front of us before we could finish our food. However, the staff in the hotel dining room were wonderful. Especially the hostess. Very gracious.

Millennium is the wrong name!
By ,
This hotel is not what I would think of when I hear Millennium. Minor details of this hotel would be considered updated. Glass countertops, upside down lamp shade. Other than that it is a 1970's looking hotel, with it's share of wear. Staff was friendly and the price was very fair for this area. Eight blocks from the train that takes you all over, even to the Mall of America! Only $1.50 each way per person. No contenental breakfast. Parking is expensive!

DO NOT GO HERE
By ,
The Millenium Hotel was a major disappointment. I was forced to stay here because the Hyatt Regency across the street was fully booked for the convention I was attending there, so I opted for the Millenium. What irritated me most was that I had to get my room key re-charged every night I stayed. It's disappointing when you come back to your hotel after a long night out, only to have to get back on to the elevator to go downstairs to have them recharge your card. I felt the carpets were dirty, housekeeping simply emptied our trash cans and made our beds. We always had to ask for extra towels every night. Also, I felt for $159/night, it was a rip-off compared to where I could have stayed in the area. The one good thing about this place is that it is walking distance to anything in downtown.

Very nice stay in Minneapolis
By ,
I stayed at the Millennium Hotel in Minneapolis for five nights. The staff was competent and friendly. I arrived early on a Thursday, so they suggested the local farmers market to decompress from my flight--GREAT suggestion. The conceierge booked a manicure for me at a spa that required an 8 block walk through the best of downtown Minneapolis, a very enjoyable stroll. The Millenium is in walking distance of everything; the morning it rained, I used the skyways. My room was small, but cozy, and beautifully appointed. I appreciated the suede-covered love seat, complete with afghan for curling up and reading up on my next-day business info. The windows opened, so I was able to enjoy the cool, dry night air while I slept on the FABULOUS bed. The breakfast buffet at Nic's was delicious, and room service fare arrived promptly and still hot. Restaurant service was worthy of 5 stars, and the dinner entrees were fabulous. The lobby was light, bright and comfortable, complete with a Martini Bar and live piano music -- a great place for socializing before going out to dinner. Great service from the bar staff, too. Friends staying at "big chain" hotels took one look and adopted the Millennium as our official meeting-up place for the length of our stay in the city, noting that none of their hotels had "real" lobbies. It was a very enjoyable experience, and I would not hesitate to book a stay there the next time I'm in Minneapolis.
