Mixed Feelings
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/30/11
The hotel was completely booked with three wedding parties and the parking lot was too small to accommodate guests forcing us to walk with our baggage past all the drunken party-ers. Their loud parties were out on the balconies, hallways and parking lot - fun for them, not for people who wanted a restful night sleep. Didn't I read REST someplace in the description? The noise from heavy walking above, frequent door openings and the partying all around was unpleasant.
I would have changed the lay out of the room so that the sleeping area wasn't near the public walkway/parking lot and they should add more sound proofing to the floors and walls.
The pool opens at 10am, but check out is at 11. DUH! what were you thinking?! Can't you get someone to clean it after it closes so that it can open at breakfast time? it isn't rocket science.
Speaking of breakfast… at 10am we were offered three bagels, dry cereal and a wait to make our own waffles. That was it. They said they were too overwhelmed with other guests and were trying to restock. I said, too late, but I will let the internet know how I felt, which was unvalued and unimportant. I guess wedding parties are more important than regular guests.
We had a queen suite with balcony (couldn't use the balcony for the HUGE infestation of gargantuan mosquitos/flies) and it had a fireplace and well stocked kitchenette - nice for others, unused by us. Since they were completely booked that was the only room offered us; It was more than we needed, therefore higher priced than we needed.
But it was CLEAN. The bathroom was clean.
