Very Romantic
By Timmy, 04/07/09
My husband and I were traveling in the area and we stumbled across this little piece of heaven and spent a lovely romantic evening in one of their heart shaped Jacuzzi rooms, it was fabulous!!! We received complimentary drinks with our room which we switched to champagne and it was such a nice getaway in the middle of winter, we just loved it!! The staff was amazing and the service was great, we had a wonderul breakfast and the Manger personally thanked us when we were leaving the hotel. I would definitely stay again!!!

nice hotel
By Debra, 02/20/08
The service was good. except for one of the gentlemen that checked us in. he kept giving us dirty looks when we would ask certain questions and whenever we were downstairs. if you stay here, be sure to ask for your complimentary drink coupons (if staying there monday-saturday as they dont offer it on sundays) the rooms were spacious enough and u can control the heat in your room. the only downside to this hotel would have to be it was freezing cold in the hallways and it was winter time outside so i would figure it would be warm i the hall ways. the free continental breakfast offers Belgian waffles, sausage, scrambled eggs, bagel, muffins, cereal, and juice and coffee. i look forward to staying here again

Hockey teams, don't bother!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/24/08
Our hockey team had a tournament in Lansing and we stayed in this hotel, along with 4 other hockey teams. We liked the fact that the bar area/lounge was close to the pool for those parents that did not want to swim. The rooms were small, but decent. The breakfast was good, but don't show up with 20 minutes before it's over or you won't get anything but toast and cereal. The bar/lounge closes at 11 on the weekends and the staff won't let you sit and visit in the open area by the pool. After one of our families complained of the stay, the front desk staff guy told her that he and his staff had to "put up with all of your kids this weekend". They closed the pool early and in the morning, if you have a room by the pool, it's LOUD!! You can hear everyone talking during breakfast and swimming. We found a pair of socks under one of the beds that didn't belong to us, yuck!!! Not a hockey/sports friendly hotel at all.

No clean towels???
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/05/07
It began with the fact that each room is unable to adjust the temperature. It is controlled by the hotel. So- we froze all night. We had a 50 year old whirl pool in our room that sprayed from the bottom- cold water. We only had 2 towels in our room and we used those for the whirlpool that evening. The following day we wanted/needed showers. My husband called the frontdesk and they said someone would be right up so I hopped in the shower. I waited 30 minutes and teased that I was pruning. He stepped out into the hall and the cleaning person said there were none clean. A hotel with no towels?? I used a pillow case and my husband waited a bit longer. Nothing. We then went down 10 minutes prior ro breakfast ending and were told it was too late to have any eggs, sausage, or waffles made. The room had a sign stating: "If you are not pleased with your room or our service, inform us. If we cannot correct the situation in a timely manner and to your satsifaction, you will not be charged for your room." They don't stick by this- we were still charged full price!!

QI University
By Bruce, 05/21/06
room was approriate for price. pool and lounge areas close at 10PM which seemed a bit early, especially on the weekend. Over priced beverages, both in-room and out. location is great in proximity to MSU.

Family Friendly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/06
I loved the pool - it was in the middle of the hotel and I could watch my kids and relax. The hotel gives you free drinks at the bar each night, too. Our room was comfortable and it had been renovated recently so everything was new. Everyone I know has had a good stay here.

Overpriced and dirty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/28/05
We reserved 6 rooms, 6 months in advance. When we arrived we only had 5 rooms, on the second floor, not first as requested. The coffee pot in one room had mold in it. All the rooms were disgustingly dirty. The air conditioning did not work and the rooms were extremely hot. Only 1 member of the staff even tried to be helpful. Despite our complaints we received only a very small credit. It was extremely overpriced and dirty. We would never return.

Great for the family
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/05
The courtyard was the best for the whole family - stuff for the kids and a huge pool! I liked the two free drinks at the hotel bar and we all loved the hot breakfast. Very close to MSU and downtown Lansing.
