The staff is great. My wife and I received the most personalized service we have ever received. The location could not be better. Rooms are very clean. I cannot imagine going any other place on the island.

Colonial Inn

What a beautiful Inn! The Staff was absoutely wonderful and the rooms were perfect. Location is great with many shops and restaurants around. Will definitely stay again at the Colonial Inn on our next visit to Martha's Vineyard!

Fabulous place

We were at the colonial inn years ago when it needed refurbishment. When we reluctantly returned we were delighted about how wonderful it was. Evelyn and Michael and everyone at the front desk are relaxed and friendly and very helpful. I was a travel agent for 25 years and give this place high marks. Peace Laurie

a lucky find!!

My husband and and I took a spur of the moment October vacation for a couple of days, and decided that we would choose a place to stay when we got to the island. We saw the Colonial, and it was perfect. We couldnt have planned it better if we had spend months trying to find the perfect place!

Location, location, location

The Colonial Inn is beautiful and is in a great location. There are views of the water and you can walk into downtown Edgartown, which is adorable. The service was wonderful and I'm looking forward to going back.

the pearl of Edgartown

small yet beautiful. Location x3. Great location 100 feet from water. we enjoyed our time while staying there for 3 nights. I'd like to thank each staff member for their congeniality. we will definitely go back! P/s: thanks Jim!

Beds To High

I would agree that the beds were to high and the rooms small. The breakfast was of very poor standard with no one ensuring that the food was available to guests. It was a case of pick up the crumbs you could find. However would strongly recommend the restaurant next door.

Disappointing

I was very disappointed at the size of the room. The inn was recommended by a family member so I had high expectations. I thought the room was much too small, the bed way too high to get into and too small. The cabinet with the TV was on the side of the bed instead of at the end of the bed so both people could view it from the bed. The step to get into the bed was missing. The sink should be in the bathroom not in the room taking up precious space which is scarce. All rooms should have at least a queen size bed in it. I wouldn't stay there on my next trip to the Vineyard.
